Can I just say that you saved my sleep for tonight. The screen of my Iphone 14 Pro Max was all time frozen and even the volume buttons were not working. My lock/power button on my iPhone 13 was just not working at all. Doing method 1 it didn’t pull up the power off screen but it seemed to magically fix it and Siri came up as I was holding the button. Crazy but it worked! Glad it wasn’t a hardware issue. Thank you!

I just want to say thankyou because this also works if your phone has an entire app frozen as you can see through the app but it's just on my home screen and it even stays after resetting so the fix was to power reset it.

okay, i have an XR and was anxious it would call 911 since it has that new feature, but it didnt. if your worried about 911 getting called by your iphone, it doesnt. It worked btw, thanks so much man.

Thank you for your fix instructions - I would like to note I could NOT resolve problem even though IPhone fully charged - however, following your instructions - with iPhone “plugged into” my charger - your instructions worked perfectly - so if others follow your instructions and experience IPhone still “freezing up” try “plugging” in to your charger and repeating instructions. Tried this. Not working for me. iPhone 10 is frozen on slide to power off, had a new screen put on it today. Did the volume up and volume down then held the side button for over 3 minutes and nothing. How long should I keep holding the side button until the apple logo comes up?
