Hi Daryl , today I unpacked the sound switch dmx doungle ( thx , i just bought with help of your awesome videos ), but ran into a problem, my fixture manager does not work, it just opens a window, but all the buttons are locked and there are no libraries, maybe it’s because I’m running on windows 10? and there is no login window for inmusic either)

Here's the latest since this video has been released: SoundSwitch 2.8.2.5 Improvements and Fixes: • Fixed Autoscript crash as a result of certain chase effects • Fixed Issue with Autoscript Presets ignoring Position or Attribute changes.

Hey Daryl, great video! I was wondering if by any chance you are planning or might be able to make an updated SoundSwitch tutorial on how to set up the program and integrate it with the new grandMA3 visualizer. I know you have an older video using grandMA2 and MA3D but I believe MA3 combines all of those features into one streamlined process. Would love any help getting it set up!

Holy Smokes lol is there a beginner tutorial video lol I'm trying to input my tri-beam uplighting fixture, looking at the manual and trying to correlate what you did and what my manual says. 7chan mode Ch1 0-139 color chase auto 140 - 219 strobe 220-255 fade ch2 0-255 speed from slow to fast ch3 0-255 all dimmer ch4 0-255 red ch5 0-255 green ch6 0-255 blue Ch7 0-255 Amber

Honestly, I'd find an uplight profile that has a dimmer channel, and separate color channels and then ignore the macro channels 1 & 2.

Nice, didn't even notice this update until now. It will for sure come handy when adding the noname movers I have imported. By the way, is there any documentation/information somewhere that describes the difference between spot and wash in SS? I.e. how they are treated different in autoscripts etc. Please bare with me if this is obvious, but I'm new to this. Still prefer my old halogen bulbs and the Pulsar controller, but I guess I need to move forward some day ;)

Spots will have gobos & prisms & physical color wheels. Washes are simpler. Assuming you're talking about moving head spots & washes, it does not matter how you categorize them. (Primary, Secondary, etc...) Those categories mostly adjust the intensity and movements (i think)

@@DJDarylBennettactually the question was about LED PAR fixtures. I have some added, and there is this option to go either for WASH, SPOT, or STROBE/BLINDER. But perhaps there are just different attributes as you mentioned, but also for the PAR's - not just the movers?

I, i have a shehds led 100w spot and i can’t modify like you do. I try to look on the manual, but don’t specify wich value was split color, and changing to atributte doesent work as well. Any idea? Thanks

If the manual doesn't say you just have to try various values to see which one is split color

Thanks for the Video Daryl, I have one of the generic mini spider light from beopper and when i want to set attributes for it, nothing comes up for me to make adjustments. However, i found another mini spider profile that i can make adjustments and its 17 channel instead of 13 that came with the betopper manual. do you think i can use the 17 channel and get away with it or no?

If the first 13 channels are identical and the last 4 aren't necessary. But usually no, you might need to look for another profile or create one

Great question! Ss doesn't integrate directly with rekordbox, but there's a couple of workflows you can use while using rekordbox

I cannot deal with rekordbox lighting anymore. Any idea what I could use for automated lightshows in /w rekordbox - or if soundswitch would ever consider applicability with rekordbox? Serato has been bought by their parent company lately, so isn't there any changes possible?

Anything is possible in the future, but I don't have any knowledge of any plans of rekordbox and soundswitch integrating. You can always run Autoloops and use Ableton link.

@@DJDarylBennett coming back to this to say that ableton link does not seem to sync with any BPM changes in my live performance. So its basically useless for lighting as its never in sync with what is playing

@@felixkrell890 I personally haven't tried, but I think you need to have ableton link connected to rekordbox to have the bpm data get to soundswitch. IMO It's not completely useless... It case playback chases and static scenes just fine without being synced to the music.
