New Folding Shovel Is The Ogryn Thunderhammer - Darktide

Thrust + Brutal Momentum with +Carapace damage perk and the Crunch talent (or a few Heavy Hitter stacks) will let you oneshot multiple Crushers at once if they clump up in front of you with the special heavy attack on the Mk5 and Mk19 Latrine Shovels. We're truly the toughest, strongest and meanest now, boys.

I used the Mk5 shovel in this video because I prefer the wide sweeping heavies on my build. However, on my Gunlugger build, I prefer the Mk19 because it has wide sweeping light attacks instead. Both shovels can be built for either playstyle, however.

I've been using Shovel (mk5, I think, not the latest one) + Blastboom since the release for exactly this. Shovel special oneshots anything, heavy has perfect AoE pattern horde clear, and Blastboom 1shots anything ranged that'S not a reaper. The only weakness atm is the low amount of ammo on blastboom.
