*NEW* Food Bank Haul with Meal! Whipping up Some TASTY Sliders!

I go once a month to a food bank here where I live and today was my day I got a rotisserie chicken and a chicken to cook I got two big long cream cheese danish desserts I got three packages of grapes two bags of walnuts 4 tomatoes two red bell peppers two containers of chopped up onion mixes for cooking a head of cabbage cans of mixed fruit and one cream of chicken and one cream of mushroom two cans of I got a bag of mixed salad and three bags of other types of salad and one individually wrapped vegetable and cheese snack tray a bunch of bananas and I'm sure I'm leaving off a couple of things but I can go once a month and I'm so grateful for this food at this particular place the more people you have in your family the more boxes you get I only get for one ❤

that's amazing! Where I live its once a month, everyone gets the same amount and it's mostly junk food. But, I occasionally get a pound of meat and eggs. Never any fresh fruits or veg though.

It's pretty much the same where I'm at can only go once a month only the food pantry we get the basics never any fresh produce they have tons of sweets and you can have quite a bit of it it's not that great but it keeps us going I try and stay away from the sweets though they gave a lot more yrs ago but they have a lot more people now because of the times we're living in, and they just stopped giving a lot of stuff we use to get, I alway's liked getting chick and dumplings just because of the convenience of it, they don't have it any more same with corn beef hash and soups they don't give them to us it's just me and my husband, I think as far as the soup goes they give most to people with children and that's very understandable. At Dollar Tree, you can get a roll of shelf liner that is thick, kind of like foam liner. I use it under my cutting boards to keep them from moving on my counter. Perhaps you could use it under the feet of your slicer to make it safer to use.

You can always put a towel then a cutting board under your meat slicer to help prevent it from sliding around that was a great deal on the slicer and the meat!! I’m new here just binge watching your videos 😊

With that chicken salad base I would imagine you could use that in any salad like potato macaroni it would probably be good on sandwiches too, egg salad as well could use it for a salad dressing even. As a dip for vegetables or chicken strips actually a lot of uses it's just mayo pretty much I'd add dill pickle relish onion's celery and black olives, I buy store potato salad and jazz it up I think dill relish is a whole lot better than sweet relish, it's hard to find around here so I just cut my pickles up I loved loaded potato salad it's like a loaded bake potato it's harder to find here as well, I think it sells very fast is why it's hard to find, There is a Airforce base right down the road from me soo.

You could use the cookie and cream sauce in the brownie mix or on top of them, it would be good in oatmeal chocolate chip or peanut butter cookies, even sugar cookies a cake mix all kinds of stuff in some kind of cream pie, cheesecake?? Etc

I never knew you could freeze lunch meat. We got a sliver last year and this year we are going to make our own deli Meat. Trying new things is an adventure in itself ❤ love this type of content. ❤️❤️❤️

I make a casserole using chicken salad ingredients and mix rice in and put a crispy topping on it and oven bake it. I also make turkey rolls stuffed with stuffing and put turkey gravy on it and bake it until warm with a mashed potatoes side. Have fun creating tasty meals and treats for your family !

I use the croissants to make egg boats for the freezer. I just bake and wrap in foil and reheat in the air fryer for an easy breakfast. I’ll post the recipe in your Facebook group

I started using Patchouli oil goat soap. What a game changer for skin care. I have 3 autoimmune diseases so my meds affect my scent and not for the best. 😂 Anyway I started using it and I’m impressed. My skin along my bra line was always red and breaking down. GONE! baking soda is also good for sun burn. you make a paste with water and put it on the sun burn it will take the "sting" out of it . leave it on until it cracks and flakes . then wipe it off. I have fair skin children and it works.

For your knowledge you do Not need to pay attention to the best buy date for being good on canned and jar food. If the can is not rusted top of jar or can is not puffed up. Dry goods as long as package is not opened should be good for long passed date.

I went to a pop up from our local food bank today. Since it was chilly outside a local church let them use the building. I got fresh mushrooms, 8 large tomatoes, ready made chicken enchiladas, chocolate silk pie, chabata rolls, 3 fresh pineapple. They had 23 cases of 12 whole rotisserie chickens. The chicken was uncooked. Unfortunately I have no freezer space. You cc would have up to 12.

Wow, look at you Carolina!!! you did get some amazing items this time. That lunch meat and pepperoni look super tasty and if I could eat bread again I would love a slider. lol, I like to make sliders for my family and one thing that I have found that helps to keep the tops soft is I brush the top with some melted butter that I mix some garlic into as well. It adds a great flavor to the sliders and keeps the tops soft. Great job mama!!! I wish my girls were little again.... they grow up way to quick. Those curry noodles will make a great quick lunch as well, and if you don't care for the flavor pack thats in it you can still use the noodles and make a type of nooodle stir fry with some veggies and soy sauce..

Here is a trick we do when vacuum sealing something that has a Liquid! I freeze them laying flat on a cookie sheet then I vacuum seal them later or the next day!
