Love this crossant crawl! Didn't know they had them at the resorts. If you like croissants you might like Parlor Donuts (in College Park on Edgewater Dr.). They have "layered donuts" which are like fried croissants with lots of neat toppings. Great breakfast sandwiches too. Their sausage biscuit comes with fig jam and sage butter! (I ask for it on a plain donut). It's really good.

I was at FQ last week and there was a menu chance mid week so that was fun! I did have that croissant and it was for sure a bit sweeter and heavy but I did enjoy it. I should have gotten the gumbo now!

One of my first jobs when I was a teenager was in a Shop Rite Bakery, so hearing you mention it stopped me in my tracks. The little old ladies I was lucky enough to learn from stack those pies nice and high! I'm with you, the filling is the draw to the pie, so that would have been disappointing.

The lackluster croissants def look like they can be plussed up to make them delicious. Hopefully some rejiggering of the recipes will happen soon to make them shining representations of croissants, which should never be just okay!
