@@H8L920- The inherited issues like the twisted colon started plaguing him years earlier, it's just that it was being managed better before he got to his late 30s. Unfortunately it's one of the reasons he ramped up his reliance on prescription medications - to keep those under control so he could maintain his schedule. He was known to be a averse to getting surgery that could have made improvements, and just thought the medications alone were enough. Instead, they only made matters worse. His dietary choices just compounded the problems. That last year especially, he had an overall less grueling amount of work than before it. He only did one short engagement in Vegas that December, and none that summer - a first for him. The number of other road tours were scaled back too. And even with that, he still has to cancel or postpone shows for hospitalizations. If he really wasn't experiencing increased health issues, then none of that would have been going on. He really only pressed on to stave off boredom and keep his people employed. Sheer willpower was driving him more at that point.

Indeed phantastic singing! Beautiful. Why did Elvis leave us so young! Thank you so much. On January 26th, 1977 Elvis proposed to Ginger Alden. In February 1977 Elvis drew up a new will in which he stipulated that his children(!) inherited everything. In the same month Priscilla B. put a lien on Graceland which must have annoyed Elvis a great deal. Elvis was also worried about the tell-all book of the West-cousins and Dave Hebler. I think those problems caused a lot of stress and affected Elvis' health which made him gain weight and aggrevated his bowel problems and insomnia. Priscilla B. used Patsy Presley to keep informed about Elvis and his girlfriends including Ginger Alden. Priscilla B. must have been worried that her financial control over Elvis Presley, with Lisa Marie as leverage, was threatened by a new wife and more children.
@exenx29959 ай бұрын
Yes this is why I think she was involved in his death and had him killed. Vernon had a Private Investigator looking into his death because he was completely sure that his son was murdered. Sadly he passed in 1979 before there could be answers. People have to realize that if he did indeed marry Ginger Alden she would get his estate if something had happened to Elvis, and remember Priscilla took her own Grandchild to court over his estate 45 years after he had died, so how do you think her mind was at the time when she heard about Ginger possibly getting he estate through marriage? All the medicals professionals I have spoken to over the years had said that 99% of the time when people die clamping down and biting their tongues during death it is almost "always" due to strangulation and Elvis' tongue was almost bit in two..
@jannekedevries23609 ай бұрын
@@exenx2995 Very interesting information. Ginger Alden had taken a sleeping pill that morning because she had her period and cramps. I thought that Vernon suspected Elvis had been given drugs that caused his death.
@exenx29959 ай бұрын
@@jannekedevries2360 You wasn't sure how or who was involved which is why he hired a PI. He at first thought David Stanley was involved because he knew David was seeing Ginger behind Elvis' back, but soon realized it was much deeper than that. I personally believe Priscilla was involved because she knew about Elvis' health and was not going to let Ginger get the Estate and hired someone that slipped into Graceland that morning when Billy & jo Smith went with Elvis to his racquetball building that morning on the 16th to play and hid in the back dressing room that is adjacent to his upstairs bathroom, came up behind Elvis while he was reading in his barber chair strangled him in which he could not yell for help and placed him on the floor in front of the toilet with his pants down. He went in there to read in his barber chair and wouldn't have fallen off the toilet. This is another sign he was murdered that Vernon knew.
@exenx29959 ай бұрын
meant to start that reply with Vernon that was a typo
@jannekedevries23609 ай бұрын
@@exenx2995 Ginger went along with Elvis, Billy and Jo to the racquetball building. That Elvis would have been strangled in his barberchair is a daring theory but I do believe Priscilla is capable to have Elvis murdered. I wonder if Kisa Narie woukd be alive today if Priscilla woukdn't have signed a DNR fir her the minute she arrived in the hospital where Lisa Marie was treated. In Childbride I read about Priscilla's appalling behaviour after Elvis' death. She also contested Elvis' will of February 1977 in which Priscilla didn't get a dime!

Everything about Elvis is great especially all new things you bring. Thank you so much. On the other hand I see him smiling yes, but with something sad or weariness in it. And all these up & downs with his weight, I am quite sure it's swelling mostly. If we see his arms and legs, especially in the photos from his vacation, were not changed. @ovythos, you are right - Elvis was not obese, you can tell by his limbs. I saw him in November 1976, he walked right past me and he was not fat at all. The bloating in his face and body was caused by fluid build up around his heart, lungs and gut. It breaks my heart to think how ill he must have been feeling a lot of the time, but he kept on singing for us.

A little weather trivia for this time period. It snowed approximately three inches in northwest Florida (Panama City area) January 1977, I was in the second grade. The snow we received was approximately 3 weeks prior to this footage, just a little indication how the weather was that winter in the south. Enjoy your channel!

You "nailed" it - again! His voice was really strong... But I always thought: what was goin' on between November, December to February 77.. Even at the funeral of Ginger's Grandpa (I think it was her Grandpa) mid January, he looked close to the November, Dezember 76... And then, we all know of that picture from West Palm Beach... (which hurts just to see him). Those heavy differences, especially in his face, his hands etc. looks like he was really heavy bloated. Then again, in Charlotte at the 20th and 21th of February, he looks much better again. I know what he did etc., I know about his drastic ways to loose weight etc. But to loose 'fluids' in such a short time, you need strong, really damaging dosis of f.e. "Lasix" etc (which hurts the liver and... on and on). All those for sure unhealthy, damaging "things" - this is one side. But those massive changes in such short times are really strange... why was a "drastic change" possible in less then a weak and what was the reason he changed so fast and massivly? There must be a "physical" and also a "psychosomatic" reason - but what were the "facts behind" his changings? It must be very painfull for those who was always around him - still noone could "talk blunt" to him (of course you could but then... you know what would be the reactions). He must be in a very high distress, pain physically and mentally. Just such a shame And about your video from St. Louis 76: some 30 years ago I had a VHS-video from that concert.. you could see many times that he was in pain... Sadly, most of my former VHS-videotapes, which I transferred to a digital CD, did not work anymore.. but I talked with the Lady which sold me the cassette back in those days and she remembered that also... Anyway, thanks a lot for this footage, keep up the good work!!

I was at the concert the night before on February 15th in Orlando….it was a phenomenal concert and his voice, mood and charisma were off the charts! There is a soundboard recording of that concert online that is really worth listening to. Your comments about how he was hitting a peak on this tour are spot on. It was an incredible experience!

I absolutely loved this video! So good to see him in the later years. Yes, it always warms my heart to see that smile and how he never failed to acknowledge his fans coming or going anywhere! I’m reminded almost every day of this great loss! Thanks so much!
