I agree 100%. Can't take credit, that's a joint thing between my drum tech and I and a lot of the time I'm not the one to tune it (especially right before I take the stage). Also, give credit where it's due to SJC Drums for making me a SICK titanium drum (so sick that you can't even get this titanium alloy anymore!).

Single kick but heel to toe? Is that how you keep the right foot sounding like a double kick?

Literally don't think about what I'm doing, that's just how I play(ed) throughout the years. I remember way back in the day thinking that doing a double on a single kick meant that you just slammed your foot down and "hoped" for the best, as videos I saw on TV of drummers playing always had their foot masked by other drums or the view in general. Definitely appreciate the compliment though.
