it has that one powerful line that resonates with everybody. "i'd still pick my friends over you." and that's a very important life lesson. number 1, dont make your person choose. number 2, if you like a person, but hate their friends, it is better for you to exit the situation than it is to try to change their social life. and number 3, the big one, if somebody is trying to take you away from your friends, that's abuse. the abuser absolutely has to take the abuse victim away from their support group in order to properly abuse them. your friends are your support group. never choose somebody over your support group. you should always choose your friends over your person. and sure, the song clearly states that she did nothing wrong. he just wasnt interested anymore. he has his own problems to work out and he knows it. but that one line holds power. now that i'm older i know the real reason this relationship didnt work is because he was too young (mentally speaking.) and he knows it.

Lyrics: I'm drunk off your kiss For another night in a row This is becoming too routine for me But I did not mean to lead you on And it's all right to pretend That we still talk It's just for show, isn't it It's my fault that it fell apart Just maybe You need this And I didn't mean to Lead you on You were everything I wanted But I just can't finish what I've started There's no room left here on my back It was damaged long ago Though you swear that you are true I still pick my friends over you (My friends over you) Please tell me everything, That you think that I should know About all the plans we made When I was never to be found And it's all right to forget That we still talk Its just for fun, isn't it It's my fault that it fell apart 'cause maybe you need this And I didn't mean to Lead you on You were everything I wanted But I just can't finish what I've started There's no room left here on my back It was damaged long ago Though you swear that you are true I still pick my friends over you (My friends over you) Just maybe you need this You need thisâ?¦ And I didn't mean to Lead you on You were everything I wanted But I just can't finish what I've started There's no room left here on my back It was damaged long ago Though you swear that you are true I still pick my friends over you
