Still waiting for the Lucky 13 to come to us here is Europe.. Now I'm dying for this one to arrive too! On another note, I wrote to Finch about the EU distribution since they're really difficult to get here. Within seconds of mailing them I recieved what I thought had to be an automated response, I was floored to see that it was an answer directly from Spencer explaining the situation. Now I'm new to the knife hobby and it might be the norm with these smaller companies to work like this but I was thoroughly impressed with the customer engagement, from one of the owners nonetheless. To me that's just a great way to promote brand loyalty - I could certainly get knives with "better" materials at lower costs but little things like that make me actively want to support the company, and that's of course not accounting for their amazing and unique designs that you wouldn't find anywhere else! Two months ago I just had a banged up old no brand slip joint, and now I have a fledgling collection of 4, soon to be 8 knives that I enjoy very much, certainly caught the bug. One of the ones on the way is my first Finch (harvester cocobolo) and I'm really worried that it's as amazing as I hope, that wouldn't bode well for my wallet. Anyways, just wanted to share some of my early experiences with the pocket knife world since it's sort of a solo hobby for me over here :)

I am not surprised one bit by the response you received! I have heard nothing but good things about how Spencer and Steve treat their customers! I wouldn't guarantee you will get that type of response from every company but you will from Finch!! Glad to hear you are enjoying your new hobby and I would love to hear what you think of the Harvester when it arrives! Thank you very much for sharing your experience!!

Hey JB, of my Finch collection (all 11 models), with the exception of the Holliday (perfect detent & can’t fail), all have light to extremely light detent. That’s the one thing they need to address and adjust. Other than that, I love what they’re doing. All the upcoming models look fantastic.👍🤘👍

Man I just love the size and the handle, not big on the blade shape with the tabs though. Looking forward to the full revie to see if the tabs are a problem or not. Might be my first finch knife purchase and if I have to I'll be cutting off the top tab to make it feel better in the hand. Thanks for the look see and keep making sharp things fun and enjoyable

It is cool, but I have to ask how much of a premium I'm willing to pay for design and branding. The materials and manufacturer--QSP--all scream budget import knife, but here it is in semi-premium domestic price range. Companies like this and James Brand are looking at the costs we'll accept and wondering how to convert more of that to profit margin. Extra stickers seems to be the answer.
