All this information is great, however, I feel that the method of diagnosing a child with autism is ultimately what holds up the diagnosis and the treatment. Having a daughter who was recently diagnosed with autism and is high functioning on the spectrum. All data in the world won’t do anything unless the professionals and the method of evaluating children is more accessible. Also the difference between genders and the diagnosis the rate of females being diagnosed in adulthood. Accessibility is important. Had the professionals pediatrician, and multiple behavioral professionals listened to me and would have been up to date in how girls present differently then boys.
