Looking forward to your videos on caring these babies. I tried to grew a mandarin orange tree this spring, and it died form some kind of disease that turned the new sprouts black.😥 I have know idea what it was. Please do some videos on how to deal with diseases and pests!

Great idea about using a rooting stimulant out around the root zone! 🤔 I think I’ll try that out with some kelp powder that needs to be used up. Also it would be awesome to hear your thoughts on what are the best resources for information about tree varieties and how to select for appropriate cross pollination. Thanks for the great video 👍

Just depends on what I’m looking for. For me on selecting varieties I go with the Texas A&M Agrilife list of varieties for north Texas, but I’m sure there are other lists for your state and region. Finding cross pollinators there are lots of charts that list acceptable cross pollinator varieties for fruit trees that require them

Uuuuuugh, Texas and its freakin' tornados, man. I was being cheap, purchased a small pomegranate plant, and promptly killed it. 😭 Trying to grow my own from seed, but so far the seeds are moldy. 🙄

Great question! All of the trees are self fertile but having a pollinator can boost production. A lot of persimmon are dioecious meaning male and female trees but Fuyu is self fertile 😊
