The song is "[언프리티 랩스타 Track 2] 지민, 슬옹 (Ji Min, Seul Ong) - 시작이 좋아 2015 (Prod. by 버벌진트) (Good Start 2015)" (Stone Music Entertainment) but Lim Seul Ong performed it on MU:CON Showcase on 2016.10.18, a year and a half before (G)I-DLE came out with Latata, and since it needs a female voice, brought Miyeon to replace Jimin. "Yuqi" is the romanisation of her Mandarin name, pronounced kind of like "you-chee"; outside Mandarin, she always uses the Korean pronunciation, Ugi ("woogie"). There is a cute video recently where she introduces herself in eight languages, and she's "Ugi" in seven of them (with Mandarin being the sole exception). 24:21 From what I know, they are... mid-evil. Not horrible, not great. More than anything they seem to not be very competent, to the extent that only the groups who can self-produce can expect some success; and they haven't the best track record handling crises. CLC was horribly mismanaged, and one of the members even had to sue them. And while fans will cry that CUBE is literally the worst, they are not even as bad as BlockBerry Creative (ex Loona's company), and far cry from horrors like TS Entertainment or Open World Entertainment, with the beating of trainees with metal chair, or serial seual axxault. And while Soyeon usually has to fight CUBE to accept her ideas, she usually wins and gets to do what she wants. Oops, gotta go, will continue later!

She is soooo good at rock. But then, what is she not good at? According to her, she has learned everything when she was 3. (A recurring joke on Learn Way, a variety show she fronted for all 30 episodes of its first season, several clips of which can be seen starting from 27:32) 26:54 This is Giant, the other song from A Page. Specifically, I believe this is the Chinese version that she performed on "[LIVE]YUQI 우기((G)I-DLE)-《Giant》/ ZJSTVHD/" (Keep Running Official-Welcome to subscribe) 30:29 You did not ask, but... Shuhua and Soojin were one of the most shipped couples in K-pop, and Shuhua intentionally fanned the flames on that. The public dynamic was always that Shuhua was totally in love with Soojin, while Soojin cycled between embarassed, cold and caring. If you want more of their interactions, look up "Sooshu". Now how much of that is fanservice and how much is just a tip of the behind-the-scenes iceberg we will probably never know, but one thing that we did learn is that Soojin was Shuhua's first friend in Korea, helping her across the considerable language barrier (unlike e.g. Minnie who just drinks up languages, Shuhua is kind of her opposite; still, many years later, has a very noticeable accent.) We were all very worried (well, I was, at least) how Soojin's departure would hit Shuhua. 31:52 "Shuhua has never completely dyed her hair, the most she's done is highlights and she doesn't plan to change that any time soon." - and then, 2023 happened. :D However it was not a spur of the moment thing. Soyeon explained why she is asking, Shuhua took 3 days to think it over. I don't remember if you did the song I am talking about yet, so I won't say anything more. She is also very famous for not wearing makeup unless she has to, and is very often seen bare-faced, which is not very common for a female K-pop idol. 35:47 The Soojin thing is complicated. Most of us Nevies miss her dearly, to the point that many of us had trouble watching (G)I-DLE content after her departure, and in fact it still kind of hurts. She is in a way still very much a part of the group, with references to her popping up in every MV since, even if the members are clearly under orders not to mention her explicitly. I feel a guide that did not treat her equally would not be well received in Neverland. However, as much as we want her back, we don't know if she wants to be a celebrity any more. On one hand, she had begged her father for two years to let her try to be an idol, then worked very hard to make this dream happen. On the other, after the treatment she received, I was half-prepared never to hear from her ever again. She opened an Instagram account recently and it kind of blew up even though she only posted a couple of pictures so far, and we don't know what happens next; but whatever she decides, whether to be a "normal person" or to come back to public life, we should support and respect that decision.

So the marilyn munroe concept discussed by soyeon is referring to thier title track "Nxde" one of their more recent releases, and yeah the rocker yuqi, loves her guitar, she has released 2 solo songs, giant and bonnie & clyde, and performed them live on stage with a band! Soyeons tracks off her solo albumare all killer but i think you would really enjoy "is this bad b* number" featured in this as one of the fastest raps.

I haven't seen a guide yet that short changed Soojin. As far as I know, all of the (many) guides fully include Soojin.

Thank you for this reaction! 💜 And I agree with you. I think when someone is watching an MV for the first time they shouldn't pause because it totally breaks the experience. I really don't like reactions with excessive pauses. And that's one of the reasons I like your channel. If you liked this guide, maybe you like the video "THE RISE of (G)I-DLE - CUBE Entertainment's SECRET Weapon" too. It's a long video but worth watching. And check the MMA 2022 full performance when you can. It's amazing. Has a guitar performance by Yuqi. But there are 4 songs that you haven't reacted to yet in this show, Villain Dies, Nxde, Change and Tomboy.

(Sorry I decided to repost this because I sent it in too early while I was still watching the video, but I added some stuff below what you already read in my comment) Yeah my bad for making it so fast lmfao I realized that it was way too fast once it was finished and uploaded but I'm just one highschool student and I couldn't be bothered to remake it. Much better guides have come out since mine, like there's two 2023 guides for them as well now. One is by "Katrissimamente" and the other is by "luvsoojins" (luvsoojins is a loved member of our community so I'd definitely recommend their guide, maybe not for you since I'm not sure you want to sit through another long ass guide but for anyone else that's interested!) Other notes as I watch the reaction: - Fun fact about Minnie, she's actually known as a "language genius". During their I AM FREETY tour date in Hong Kong (i think?) the members decided to cover a Cantonese song, and Minnie actually had some of the best out of everyone pronunciation even though she's Thai. Cantonese is a very difficult language because of the tones and yet native speakers praised her for clear and easy to understand pronunciation. - I'm not sure if you know this (i still have a lot of your IDLE reaction videos left to watch) but Soojin opened an instagram ! "_seosootang" - Yes the song in the back at 17:20 was IDLE, it was the uncensored version (album exclusive) of 'Tomboy' - The song for the quote (during the meeting Soyeon was talking at) was "NXDE" ! It's a tribute to Marilyn Monroe, who also happens to be Soojin's role model

Love I-DLE, i think that BEYONCE remix was the one that was in the soundtrack of a certain book/movie that all woman went crazy for with Christian Grey. I watched an interview with JESSI and SOYEON and she explains that the persona she performs under isn't the real her, in real life she is quite, caring and soft. The tuff persona is her alter ego

Probably the most up-to-date guide, so good choice. My fave guide is "Rise of I-DLE", though it's more like a documentary at 90 mins long, and only goes as far as their "I Burn" album. But it really delves into their origins, and the things that make them I-DLE, and so is worth a watch off-line.

Yuqi had released her solo full english songs in May 2021 ... 'Giant' and 'Bonnie & Clyde' .. in the video , its show a clip from the 'Show Champion' ...a special performance band version for Bonnie & Clyde in 2022.. the original version is dance pop song like Lady Gaga/Ava Max songs. u should checkout her cover songs too...especially Beggin'/Måneskin....it's really show the power of her voice....another covers are Miley/Flowers and Lady Gaga&Bradley/Shallow

K/DA = Kills, Deaths, Assists; in the K/DA lineup, Miyeon is (usually) the singing voice of Ahri and Soyeon is the voice of Akali PS: You obviously need to react to Yuqi's "Giant" and "Bonnie and Clyde" as well as Soyeon's "Bad B**** Number"

I would say that Miyeon is always the voice of Ahri. In "I'll show you", the song is about Ahri and sung by "Twice", but Ahri is never shown to be singing the song in the MV.
