Dope coverage as always bro 👊🏿. Very good update and mad useful, I just wish they went all in and just made a fully handheld device to bring us back to the PSP era. Like you mentioned, all thats missing to have made this device top tier is that native access to the games library without having to rely on a connection. Coz the portal is mad dope but is so niche because of those outside factors we can't control like being beholden to connectivity and stuff when you're actually tryna use it out and about outside as a standalone device rather than just something to use at home when you don't wanna use the main console.

Probably next gen it will happen as Xbox will definitely come with a handheld alongside the new Xbox. They tested with the rog ally and their recent commercial says it all. Sony tested it with this device to see what the sales are like.

@NikoBellicisalive Yeah hopefully it happens. Coz the Portal is nice but it's such a halfway solution that they could have just solved by going all in from jump. So whether or not Xbox was doing one or not they should have just initially targeted that handheld market to stand alongside the steamdecks and switches and like the rog ally you mentioned etc from jump like they did with the original PSP to where you aren't reliant on a connection to access your game catalogue and so for those people wanting a handheld to take on trips and what not you can just natively run your library from wherever with the only limitation being that maybe you gotta download the specific games onto the device and that's about it, only requiring a constant connection for the online multiplayer stuff.

@@tjluckock5116 you don’t even need a PS five for it to work once you update your portal reset the portal itself. The only thing it’ll erase is just whatever Wi-Fi settings you have and then login again and then you’ll see.

I was just about to cancel my PS Plus Premium but now I see a reason to maybe keep it going for a bit longer. As long as they keep adding games to be playable on the Portal. It will save storage space on my console. Or I can easily take my games I'm currently playing on the go.
