When I first watched this series I thought it was really unrealistic for them to hire her without her knowing how to use the 3d software...until I got my first job where I also used the first month learning how to use the software they used (although I didnt start from scratch I used a very similar one in college) sometimes truth is stranger than fiction

@@JoJoboiWav It's fairly common to get hired and retrained if you already have good skills and experience in a different 3D software than the one the studio uses. Some studios use proprietary tools that they developed in-house, so you can't possibly get experience with them before being hired. It's the same in programming - some jobs want you to have experience with the exact languages and technologies they use, but others will hire you as long as you've worked with something similar enough, with the expectation you'll be able to learn a similar language or library quickly.

i got my first job with the knowledge of 3ds max, but on my very first damn task they said "yeah, this project is only in Maya, so learn Maya plz" lol, so I spend the first 2 days speedrunning tutorials.

Plus it's likely cheaper to hire someone without the programming language knowledge and teach it to them than it is to hire someone who's already prepared to drop in and get to work. Sometimes your knowledge and experience can price you out of jobs.

I mean, they show a lot of that as well, how much time they have to spend in the office and even sleep there. They also talk about how full time is a loophole to pay less and the struggle of having to rewrite code a lot of times because changes in specifications. I mean, it is an anime. It doesn't have to be realistic but still shows a lot of things that are sadly true

I like that they depict the overtime culture pretty accurately even though it's a fluff anime. That aside though, this anime rekindled me dream to stop doing only boring office application programming and try out game programming.
