In my heart, the real definitive edition will always be UCP, a patch that you advertised Yourself. I do hope your new Crusader edition will support it, if not on a release date, then hopefully soon enough. This would hopefully include texture packs the community made.

I know it probably won't be part of DE but pseudo-random map generation (as on AOE2DE) would make this game INSANE in terms of replayability, variation, multi-player fun. Sadly I've asked this many times before but never got a response (understandable) though I firmly believe it would help in maintaining a stable player base (replayability), just like the single player fwnbasr on AOE2DE.

I don't mind if it's a remastered version of the original Stronghold Crusader, but please add lots of new A.I opponent, new castle variant for the A.I, larger pool of player in a custom game (from 8 to 16 perhaps?), new maps and bigger maps (huge map that could contain 16 player), new flora/plants. That's all I wish for the already perfect kind of SHC! 😍
