Former divorcee here, I recommend you brush up on housekeeping. Meaning keeping your house in good shape they require seasonal maintenance so you can prevent major headaches or money pits later down on the road. Only buy tools when you need them or might want them when they are on sale. Don't worry about having all those tools, you might be able to borrow major tools from friends, family or neighbors. I suggest an electric mower and other yard tools, makes them lighter to carry, easier to clean and easier on the arms. Also when doing yardwork wear long sleeves and pants, trust me. Debris shoots out and it hurts.... ALOT *from experience*. - Wishing you the absolute best and happiness with the new changes in your life.

Mai, for tools, I recommend you have the following: 1. Hammer 2. Philips head screwdriver 3. Flat head screwdriver 4. A Handyman

Seeing that I have a new Mai Zimmy video to watch always makes me smile. You did a great job on the garage and appeared pretty upbeat. I hope you're truly feeling that way. Going through our stuff can stir up a lot of emotions but it paves the way for independence after a relationship ends. Hang in there! You're amazing, strong and beautiful and capable of anything you put your mind to. Sending love and prayers to you! PS the travel potty is brilliant!! My daughter has had one in her vehicle for years for road trips and parks. Looking forward to your next video! XXOO ❤️

Safety Tip for roadtrips(from experience) never go to gas station where you can't see the sign from the freeway. I've ended up on some SUPEr dark back roads because the gas station was "only" a quarter mile away when it was LOT farther than that and then i got there and it was closed -__-

Tip for garage parking - install a tennis ball on string from sealing. So that the tennis ball rests on windscreen when car is parked That way you can get rid of box and not worry as tennis ball will make you aware of your position within the garage

OMG OMG OMG You should do a closet reorganization video now that it's just YOUR closet! You could maybe get a real dresser against the back wall of the closet and have space to open it! You could also move your office/guest room to your husband's old office and all of the boys could have their own room upstairs!! Im a mom of 2 boys and just got divorced a couple months ago; hang in there, Mai! It will get easier! I love watching your videos- I've watched since your first closet de-clutter and your KZbin channel is my absolute favorite! 😁 You got this, mama! Keep on keepin on! 😃

I’m divorced and the mailman thing reminded me of the water company lady giving me a pep talk when I called to have my ex removed from the account 😂 it’s funny now, wasn’t at the time. Also mentally it’s hard when your kids are gone even if it is to the other parents. I keep myself busy by cleaning and you do get more used to it but you always miss them like crazy.

My mum was a single parent with 3 kids. She did an incredible job. We had so many opportunities in life, fun, love and experiences. Mum and I got pretty confident with DIY. You're a strong independent woman. Awesome job. Nothing wrong with being a single mum. My experience as a teacher, kids at school often out performed kids from families with both parents and were happy young confident kids. Buy things out of season such as the lawnmower for cheaper prices.

Great work! 💪🏽 I highly recommend keeping that wagon. My children are 7 and 5. There are definitely times when having a wagon comes in handy for hauling stuff (ANY stuff-not just kids’ stuff), having a place for even bigger kids to sit, moving large items, gardening, etc.

I was so surprised when you first said you were divorcing. Then I realized I don’t really know you other than KZbin lol, or that I’ve never even seen your husband (meaning, I know way less about you than it seems) KZbin is strange like that. Either way, you seem like a girlfriend who’d chat over coffee about how your heart is doing and what all happened. Wish you the best during this transition! Decluttering is definitely healing.
