The bass solo is so tasteful! Jorge Roeder nails it!

I love how the stage is so damn huge, but they're all packed in. It's all about the intimacy, for the performers and the audience...

I must have listened to this posting many times, and each time I do that I get something new from it, what a great artist. I also have the same trouble with my hearing but I carry on and I imagine what I'm playing sounds like. I often think that the piano is out of tune, but that's only what I hear.

For those of you who may be curious, this a Milt Jackson tune. He was the driving force behind the Modern Jazz Quartet for me, and yes, he was only a two Mallett man. When I first brought home Pyramid in 1960 at the ripe old age of 10 I knew I found my ear groove, this was the sound that was to define my life. So, if you love jazz, and why would you be here unless you do, buy the MJQ Live at Carnegie Hall, 1966. It will set your soul free and let you fall in love with Jesus.

I'll take ya one further. People need to be open to all music more. And yes, I'm including shitty pop singers like beiber . If someone finds something interesting then there's probably a reason. There is art in all things and that's what an artist must know. Good music isn't one thing.

Burton plays the Blues and tries to add something new to the most famous Blues line ever composed for vibraphone. Was he successful? Well, Listen to the MJQ, to the Oscar Peterson Trio, and to Miles with Monk and the composer, Milt Jackson to meditate and have your conclusion!

Yes those are fingerboard markers to reference some positions on the bass, not uncommon and probably a rented bass. I agree he sounds killin
