What do you think of the fuel weight balance. I have the 3.2 on my 24 300 xcw, love the range. Looking at the 4.0 for longer dual sport rides.
@EverySingleSunday9 ай бұрын
I think the stock tank feels the best and a 3.2 is going to feel way better than a 4 gallon But if you are in Mexico or somewhere and need the range… it’s better than putting it in your backpack.

@@EverySingleSunday i was gonna ask about the oil fill but you said 500 xcf, so obviously 4 stroke. No oil fill. Really liking the offset fuel cap too. Kinda curious about buying it and test fitting it to my 24 300 xcw too

This 4 gal does work on oil injection bikes. Haven’t tried the 3.2

Just picked up a new 500 and this was very helpful to see on the bike, thank you

Do you know when the KTM XCW line of Acerbis tanks are coming out? I know you can buy a Acerbis larger tank for an XC, but you have to loosen the tank to add two stroke oil for the injection system.

You know, I’m not sure and I didn’t even look to see if these had the cutout up front for the oil fill port. I just assumed they added it in both the 3.2 and 4 gal tanks like they did last year.

Tested and this 4 gas works on oil injection bikes. Not sure about the 3.2 though Thanks so much. Hopefully soon

@@EverySingleSunday Thanks so much! The 4 gal looks crazy and I don't see how the fuel would be able to get up into the fuel pump sock. I do like the 3.2 Acerbis. Thanks so much, Travis!

More fuel is more fuel for now. Once the taco Moto pick up for the left side is released it will be a game changer for us all. I’m heading to Mexico next week and will need all the gas I can get…. So 4 gallon is my safest bet currently

Looks neat and tidy. I wonder why tank manufacturers dont just shape the tank to replace the fairings. It would make better space and you can save your plastics for resale.
@EverySingleSunday9 ай бұрын
IMS and Acerbis have both done those in the past I don’t like the way they ride because it puts more weight forward on the bike I prefer this style because you don’t have to fill it up all the way and I keep the weight pretty centralized

Where’s the 300 enduro rides
@EverySingleSunday9 ай бұрын
There will be more. Just a bit tied up with some other projects and haven’t done any rides that I felt were worth sharing lately. Broken bones suck and riding easier trails aren’t fun to edit or share

Does anyone know what the fuel range is on a TBI 300 with the stock tank?
@EverySingleSunday4 ай бұрын
Somewhere around 50, maybe 60 depending on how you ride And that’s if you can get all the gas out of the tank

Just installed the 3.2 gallon on my 24 xcf - that one doesn’t look too gross compared to the 3.2 actually
@EverySingleSunday8 ай бұрын
It definitely feels a little bigger than the 3.2. Wraps over the faring a bit I like the way these 24 tanks look much better than the 20-23 tanks

@@SC-ui8dh yah I can try to but it fits perfect - Since it’s an xcf no injection etc

The aftermarket pump seems to have its flaws too. Like priming... I've personally had good luck with the OEM tank. 50+ miles at race pace.
@EverySingleSunday5 ай бұрын
I haven’t seen any aftermarket pumps going into the new tanks yet. I know Taco has their fuel snorkel but it works off the stock pump. But yes, priming is not a perfect solution I know IMS has some larger 4.5 gallon tanks that use the old 12-22 style pumps and those look like the best option so far. But now you’re at $1000 for a complete setup
@panic-revv855 ай бұрын
@@EverySingleSunday I didn't realize the TM unit wasn't a full pump setup.
@EverySingleSunday5 ай бұрын
It removes the stock pick up pad and adds a snorkel that goes down to the base. I my problems with stock is when you’re doing adv / da stuff and on smoother roads. We’ve had to shake lots of bikes down in Baja to get the gas up to the center of the tank. Most racers aren’t having much of an issue
@goodboyringo97168 ай бұрын
wow 370 plus tax and shipping for a plastic tank. But it looks good
@EverySingleSunday8 ай бұрын
Or you can buy the IMS for even more 🤷. I’m down in Mexico currently and would have been out of gas multiple days so this was a must have for me
