The Russian teams are basically dominating the Kudo tournaments. There are dojos across Europe and Asia. There are three official Kudo dojos in the U.S. now. Detroit is the head branch of the U.S. with a dojo opening in St. Louis and one in L.A. The first Kudo tournament will be held this November 23-24 in Detroit. As more students earn their Shodan in Kudo they will be permitted to open a school where they are based at the express permission of the Azuma Sensei, the style's founder.

This is awesome! Are the tournaments open to all styles? It seems this would be an awesome way to see where ones training is lacking and needs to improve. This is great! I would love to enter one of these... I give this a double OSU!

@mog1983 ippon is given on submissions and KO's, wazaari on nearly ko, koka yuko on kime after throw or kime after getting advantage position(mount,knee2belly,...).No points or advantage whatsoever on throws except if ko'ed with the throw. so except the koka yuko wazaari ippon part,no relation to judo point system. regards
