People have already said this no doubt, but I really don't recommend skipping what I call the "post-Archon Quest lore dump" (the long list of dialogue questions Venti gave you). Tends to be the most interesting stuff.

Lurker here. people mentioning 59:00 incoming When it comes to pulling it comes down to mentality. Some people have the gambling mentality. It is self-explanatory (check out the song "Genshin Animation - One More Pull" by the Chalkeaters on your own time. It's a quick listen and it just came out 6 days ago.) Others love saving their wishes for a character they really like. Usually, you can guarantee a character every 2 patches with welkin moon. Saving mentality is the way to go. You'll find that there's no reason to collect every character and building characters takes up too many resources. You don't want to end up not having enough wishes when your favorite character comes around.

I'm excited for you. Soo much game left. Mondstat is just the first of )currently) 7 regions. Bennett is a good support, but only has healing on his burst (or ultimate, or super, whatever you want to call it). Barbara however is a dedicated healer with healing on both her skill and burst. The main thing I'd say you ;ack is a strong main DPS and the Raiden Shogun is a good one, once you unlock Inazuma that is. Finally you an go into settings and turn the autoplay for conversations on as default.

In general, Xiangling, Bennett and Fischl are S-tier supports. Fischl is amazing when paired with Dendro (plant element) units, Xiangling is good with Hydro (water element) and Cryo (ice element) units, Bennett is really flexible and can be paired with a lot of teams. btw glad to see you enjoying the game so far :] (until you get to the artifact farming because that takes you an insane amount of but that's a problem for later :D)

Please remember every end of archon quest, don't skip the last dialogue in each respective regions. You skip venti's, you will never hear what venti have to say about the topic inside the dialogue. Don't worry tho, if you want to learn more about the lore, there are plenty good lore vids here in YT. Some content creators also make a content out of it and understand the lore of the game at the same time. Love the editing, keep the great work!

Seconding this, at the end of every Archon quest, there'll always be an important character answering questions about the next region and certain other things. One of the questions you ask at the end of the Inazuma quest for example has an especially important lore bomb in it, so definitely don't skip these. @V2

21:00 As someone who used to be like "let's pull" everytime I opened the game, let me tell you the secret. First the short answer. Have a goal. Every 5 star is about 12800 primogems (assuming 80 wishes per 5 star). Not counting permanent content sources of primogems (quests, and chests primarily) a patch gives around 8000 primogems per patch. Thus, you often can't guarantee a 5 star if the patch is light unless you are buying welkin moon. As a new account, there's currently enough permanent primogems to guarantee a limited 5 star even if you lose the 50/50. Granted, it will take a lot of time to unlock but most of it is doable. Also, pull on standard when you have the wishes to scratch the itch when it gets real bad. To make a goal when it comes to acquiring new characters, first determine what your team needs. Since you (and your account) don't have a lot of experience, here's my suggestion. First, you'll want a core of 8 characters (or two teams) in the long run for spiral abyss. 4 of these characters should be a relatively functional team you enjoy playing a lot for overworld content. You technically have built a decent team already with the characters you have on screen right now at 21:00. So you probably don't need to pull for anyone specific right now The two sets of easy teams for spiral abyss from my understanding is a dendro based team (mostly hyperbloom but depends on who you got) and some variation of the hypercarry team. Hyperbloom is normally (Dendro+Hydro+Hydro+Electro) if you have Nahida and sometimes you switch out a hydro in various combinations of that team archetype. I'll admit I don't play true hypercarry teams myself for some unknown reason --I hate Bennet)-- but generally they are Bennet + Xingqiu (or Yelan) + Sub-dps support (Xiangling most likely but Kazuha works) + and your Hypercarry. The hypercarry depends on who's available. Xiangling can act as a "hypercarry" if you have Kazuha, but otherwise you are looking at limited or standard 5 stars. First goal of any fast growing account is to either acquire an S tier hypercarry, Nahida, or Kazuha: Kazuha can be replaced by sucrose in many teams with sufficient investment in her; Nahida is unreplaceable; and the "easiest" to play hypercarries are (in no particular order), Kamisato Ayato, Yoimiya, and Diluc. Neuvellete, Kamisato Ayaka, Wriothsley and Arataki Itto are also hypercarry candidates but require vastly differing supports as their kits either just don't work with Bennet or pyro in general. Of course, there's no reason to "fast grow" an account if you want to. However, it is definitely easier if you pick and choose, which characters to go for and which to not. Feel free to ask

When you're in Liyue, there'll be specific weapons you get from chests you ONLY find from those chests in the Liyue area. Be sure to lock them so you don't accidentally use them as weapon exp instead. You won't find them anywhere else nor will be able to wish for them either. Weapons like the 'white tassel' would be good for xiangling. And if you ever decide to go for a certain mr Zhongli, the 'black tassel' would be best for him.

One cool trick to get 50 free primogems is mess with the sound in settings up and down until Paimon is annoyed and by redeeming GENSHINGIFT in game. Also, you may not have noticed this small shiny light near the cathedral stairs, but if you step onto the light, it will trigger a secret event along the ledge that the statue is facing.

The teleport waypoint that you unlocked is just outside Fontaine, you can explore it if you want but I would highly recommend doing the Liyue story, good luck! Also, in terms of pulling, I would wait about a week or so as the next patch is coming and with it, the Hydro Archon, Furina, I plan on rolling for her and her weapon

tips for leveling up characters pick 2 characters that you want to use - prioritize leveling those characters, max their level, their weapon, their talent levels, their artifacts - artifacts prioritize the "mainstats", flower and feather only has one mainstat (HP and ATK) so you don't have to worry about those. Sands, Goblet, Circlet you will need a bit of luck here. Bennett for example, he wants ER% sands, Pyro%/HP% goblet, and crt%/ HP%/healing% (depends if you want your benny to still deal a bit of damage or purely just for healing). - I recommend looking for guides, but also make sure the guide you're following is good, cause some guides can really screw up your account. also don't worry about the 2/4pc effects of the artifacts, you only worry about those when you reach AR45 - save your fragile resins until you reach AR 45, this is when you unlock guaranteed 5 star artifact domain - build TWO teams for each of the main chars you picked. Example your team comp rn, the one that really needs to be built is Xiangling so you should focus on her, her party will consist of Benny, Kaeya and Any char for now. Fischl will be really good on another team, so i really really recommend to focus building her as your 2nd main(You will get a barbara and collei for free, fischl works really well with those 2 chars). - minor investment for supporting chars, for Example Benny really wants his Q/burst - just give him a max level ER% sands, thats all the investment he needs. Since materials are really scarce if you're just starting, its really important who can function the most with the least amount of investment. This is also why Benny is so good, with just really minor investment he can already contribute a lot to the team. This is also why i said be careful of some guides, cause some don't explain this concept thoroughly especially for new players. - lastly cause this is getting a bit long, watch out for FAVONIUS weapons when you pull (fav sword, fav codex etc.), i know you can get a free fav bow, put it on fischl or collei (once you get her free copy), these are godly SS tier 4 star weapons (anyone who says otherwise doesn't know how good they really are 😂) sorry for the wall of text, genshin can be a bit complex, but also really rewarding if you get it right. Hope this helps you or anyone who reads this.

Though due to how expensive building a character that high gets in terms of Resin, getting the A1 wish is generally the only one that is cost effective until later. Unless you're planning to actually use a specific character in an alt team. Once you have max world level, it's not as expensive since you get a lot more for your resin. Though A5 is still a lot for a character you never plan to use.

Honestly, the way to resist pulling is to pick your favourites. With Welkin Moon, you can get a 5 star from playing everyday in a version. So it's 1 5 star every 3 banners. Usually the banners are announced in the version livestream (special programmes). The next special programme is coming in a few hours. Usually, new characters are announced even earlier with character previews.

When it comes to streams, I prefer watching full vods to edited videos, but I'd definitely like to see them either way. I only pull when there's a character I really want on the banners. I tend to pay attention to banner leaks, so I can work out when I need to save my primogems. I have skipped characters I want before because they weren't top priority for me, and I plan to get them when they rerun. And I've pulled on banners for characters I don't want to get a specific 4 star character. Only when I'm at low pity though.
