Priceless! I rode in the cab once. Wrote a story about it for the college newspaper. The 18-mile loop route. It's wheels slipped at Howell Junction. One of those E8 diesels was ex-Penn Central. It was a New York Central unit before that. Looks like this one is on it's way to Stone Mountain.

You know that this train used to head out to the Stone Mountain theme park every Saturday and on occasion some Sundays as well too, from 1988 to 1992.

Yep, indeed she is, although it's sad to see that she won't run again anytime soon, I'm glad she's happy enjoying her quiet retirement at her new home at the Southeastern Railway Museum, as long as she stays there, her legend will live on

@@NC_YT_123 this is the CSX Georgia Subdivision (the former Georgia RR) from Atlanta to Augusta. It sees mainly intermodal traffic with a few scattered local freights.
