Gerber has been hit or miss lately with products, but as an avid outdoorsman and and frequent fisherman, this is a hit from me, no matter the blade steel. (every person can use he extra sharpening practice haha)

I own a Gerber with sliding pliers. It's okay, but it's not for heavy duty work. If the knife gets a little dirty and some stuff gets in the sliding mechanism, the whole thing literally grinds to a halt. Here's a not-so-pro tip. Just get a f***ing leatherman.

Same design flaw for the pliers, if your using them and it slips off you will smash your fingers..😬
