Their heat treat is terrible, as well as the fit and finish and especially the QC, we’ve stopped ordering BM since last fall, we kept getting so many super obvious mistakes, completely uneven edges front to back and especially one side to the other, different height blades. We got a batch of Adamas knives with 1/4” of variance in the grinds, the they height of the blades was so different I thought they had come out with a new version of the Adamas, I wasn’t even looking for any mistakes, I noticed it from 4 feet away. Their heat treat makes buying a “super steel “ a waste of money, even their advertised hrc is usually soft for that steel. We got some knives with burs on the edge so bad you could feel them with your finger, not your finger nail bit the pad of your finger. Benchmade gave us the run around on replacing them. And we thought dealing with microtech was tough.

On BESTECH, I'm assuming M-Cut means Magnacut blade steel?
@sloanNYC10 сағат бұрын
Yes. Just got an answer from them because they don't EXPLICITLY say anywhere on their site. It is made by Crucible in the USA, just their own name for some reason.
@timtitus253210 сағат бұрын
@sloanNYC Thanks for the clarification 👍🏻
@sloanNYC10 сағат бұрын
@ It is what this one email said, though I don't know for sure. Apparently they had some Magnacut knives confiscated by Crucible in the past for misuse of their trademark or something? So they claim it is made by Crucible but may not be paying for the name Magnacut so they use M-Cut instead...
