New GetGood Drums Library! - OKW Pop Punk Demo

Massive thanks to GGD for sending me this to test out! I love the punchy shells on this thing
Recorded a fun little demo to showcase it, not really pop punk but it has some elements at least haha

You can try to hide it, but once you're a proghead, there's no turning back lol. Even my hiphop beats have proggy elements now. Awesome demo dude, I dig the vibe a lot. Nice orange (red) guitar, very vibrant color.

Nailed it man! With the drum program, can you just put in the time signature for the changes and add fills or do you have to program it all?

Thanks dude! Not too sure what you mean, but you can just change the time signatures in your DAW if you need. I programmed this whole thing myself but there are midi groove packs available!

Thanks! GGD were kind enough to send it to me early, there’s no way I could’ve made something that quickly haha. And no I didn’t! Just adjusted some settings within the plugin and some bus processing, wanted to keep it simple

Awsome song bro! As a prog fan but previously melodic hardcore/pop punk enthusiast, this new VST and all ytbers with their demos are really hitting the spot! Btw how is the Cort A5 Artisan for playing this style of music? I'm looking for a cheaper Dingwall alternative and I'm between the Cort or the Ibanez SRMS805, but you really cannot find a lot of people using the Cort for heavy stuff. Thanks!

I originally got it just as my first 5 string because I couldn’t afford a Dingwall, but I don’t feel any need to upgrade. How did you get the cymbals to be so detailed in the mix? Love the library all around, just having a hard time getting cymbals (mostly ride/china) to really pop out.

For this kit I really didn’t have to do much! Since it’s a OKW it’s essentially mix-ready, although I’d say programming cymbals at slightly lower velocities make them more detailed
