While both have around the same DPS, TRG-230 has an advantage in the sense that it unleashes double the burst damage of RBU-2500, in that 4 seconds the RUB-2500 is loading, a ship can easily go back in cover behind some rocks. But the disvantage of TRG-230 is that it can't hit torpedoes, but when you think about it, with a reload time of 9 seconds, why would you waste your ammo on destroying torpedoes?

TRG 230 is good at killing subs on my isakov. Not destroying torpedoes is its huge advantage in encountering subs because if it destroyed torpedoes, it could not do full damage to subs.
