I bought the Glarry Burning Fire 4-string with the Sunset paint job. I absolutely LOVE that instrument. I bought the six-string guitar of the exact same model and paint job. My old instruments were sitting around so long, their necks started to warp. I didn't know if I was going to get back into playing again, but I paid less than $200 for both instruments. These instruments do not feel like discount merchandise. They inspire me. I've even started writing a new song!

My Wife just ordered the 5 string for me and I have a friend plays bass he has $1500 basses and could not believe how well it played and the price. Thanks for the videos. Ive been learning how to play for a year now. Still have a long way to go but being a drummer for the last 30 years helps with grooves and knowing what to listen to. Cant wait for the next video. God bless and Merry Christmas.

Incredibly insightful! I just purchased my own Glarry GIB 5-string and am anxiously awaiting its arrival. This was an excellent review and demo. The satisfaction you had with this bass makes me so excited to receive mine. I know quality will vary from instrument to instrument, but the smooth fret edges and minimal concerns you had with the action gave me hope that I purchased a very worthwhile bass. Thank you!

@mlchaelphelps11584 жыл бұрын
Make sure that when you tune your bass , make sure you pull up on each string after bringing it to pitch and letting it pop back to the finger board, and retune it. This action causes the string to pull tighter around the string post, making it stay in tune. When you have trouble keeping it in tune, it's cause there's slack in the strings around the post.

I've had mine for two days now. I was amazed how well built this bass is considering the cost. So far I haven't found anything wrong. I have always been a drummer. Many years back I learned to play bass. Trying to learn all over again, how playing has changed over the years and yet stayed the same. Lots of news ways to make the instrument 'talk'. BT, this was a great video and made the choice of buying this a no brainer. Glad I watched it.

I got a Glarry Jazz bass with the white pickguard in the blond "burleywood" color. I actually really like it, Though, the pick they sent was a white think nylon... for a bass. I use it with my 12 string. I plan on picking up a GIB 5 "Updrage" with dual humbuckers and some undefined tone control system.

I just got one for a Christmas gift that looks exactly like yours. So far I've done a complete setup on it and put Rotosound flatwound strings on it as well as a PureTone audio jack. I've just ordered Fender Noiseless pickups for it and I'll upgrade the entire electronics as well. It's my first 5 string bass and it's taking a bit of practice to get use to it, thankfully I have 5 other 4 string basses to play!

I plan on buying a few Glarry’s just to fill the collection and have cheap backups/travel bases. I dont like to beat on my high end ones much, I like those for when I actually record things I write. But i love having inexpensive bang for buck instruments to jam in my bedroom on or let people borrow when they’re trying to decide if they want to buy one but have never played. They’re also nice to travel with so my main bass doesn’t get damaged, or if it were to get stolen I’m only out a hundredish bucks or less. My favorite cheap bass rn is my Rogue LX 205 series 3. I got it on sale for like 70 bucks no shipping during an Amazon prime deal like 3 years ago. I typically dont like thick necks, but it feels good on that one.
