This is for anybody looking to purchase the tablet: I bought the Nexus 7 2nd gen about 2 months ago. I have used ipads and most of my family has one ..except me. I had never used a a android tablet before..and everybody said if your gonna get one get the Samsung Galaxy tab 3 or the Nexus. Considering I only had about 250$ i had to choose the 7. And I am extremely satisfied. One of the things I like about it is everything is connected to your google account. Say you forgot your passcode..you sign in with google info. I dont know if that is because its made by google or it is because its android. Also the tablet has a really high definetion display. Like...i think its better than retina in my opinion. I also like how you can use the tablet in 1 hand and its not to big not to small. This video really helped me make my desion. Thanks so much!~

This tablet is extremely reliable. I have all my textbooks on it & would pick it over an iPad mainly because you have the ability to do whatever you want via the android ecosystem. I have an iPhone and macbook. That's enough apple for me lol but I've had this tablet for 6 months and fell in love. I don't know how some individuals claims theirs is buggy or anything like that. Maybe try not overloading the storage with b.s? That'll make even the high end devices start slowing down. But deff a great tablet! I'd recommend the nexus series over any tablet on the android market right now .

Yeah, the first generation is also on offer for £130 at Argos I believe. I really wanted a second gen model though =) Even though a "Nexus 8" may be released soon, the nexus 7 will do me fine ^_^

Well I wouldn't say that. The tegra note 7 from nvidia has a much faster processor and gpu than the nexus. The only thing the Nexus tab can boast is it's untouchable screen resolution. I also just recently bought my Nexus 7 and I love it.

I definitely plan on getting the Nexus 7 soon. I have an iPad mini and iOS 8 just stinks right now, more than when iOS 7 first came out. And the price seems so cheap for quality, so this probably will be my next tablet.

I'm having trouble removing the widgets/apps from my homepages. I touch and hold them for a while but never do I get an option to remove, or even move them around sometime. What could be wrong? My tablet is brand new as well, just bought it a couple hours ago.

It was definitely a glitch. The icons would like freeze into the background and not move. With the new update to Android 4.4 however, it seems to have gone away.

should I get the new Nexus 7, or the Nook HD+? I mean its 7 inch vs 9, but the Nook doesnt have any cameras. But it is much cheaper. In terms of quality, which would last longer? I want to use it mainly for surfing the web, and watching videos, and occasionally reading.

Very clear and vibrant screen. Slim good qualified build. Very good battery consuming experience. You will be updated to the last Android Kitkat version 4.4.2 Much faster than the old 2012 model. If you are an iPad user, you will find that Nexus 7 performance is much close to iPad performance.

I have the original Nexus 7 and LOVE it! ordered the new one for my wife today. These are just amazing... The "SNUG" cases are really good to protect it... about $29.00 on Amazon with free shipping if your Prime. Use this much more than my I-pad... like the size better. Screen is razor sharp and the battery life is really good.

i just got mine today, 32gb, all i can say is wow. amazing, its actually my first tablet ever. Though it did head up a little from the back from downloading so many apps but now its normal. i do recommend getting it and better than a crappy ipad mini. i had a choice of choosing a ipadmini or the nexus. i think i made a great choice

Just got one last night brand new 50 bucks on clearance at Walmart. Updated for 5 updates or more to 6.0.1 and wow it is crisp and fast. Im not big into tabs but this is going to make a great gift if I don't sell it or gift it. Probably get 100 quick. Nice for videos ...

I played around with one of these today, and I don't know if it was just that one or if it's a common defect with them... but it was just really dark, and the colors were horrible. Sharp, sure... but that doesn't really matter if you can't see the screen. Definitely over-hyped.

I've had this tablet for nearly a month and this is my overall impression. 1. Its fast; it may not have the latest internals but paired with the latest Android Update there are "almost" no hiccups. When they happen they're very rare. 2. Everything's been improved: Its feels and looks wonderful with its new design and FHD IPS display. The sound has had a dramatic improvement with stereo speakers, and with TRIM support on android 4.3 performance is not only boosted but maintains longevity.

For those wondering if it's worth it. I bought this baby yesterday as a birthday gift. The person I bought it for and I both have Nexus phones so it's not only familiar, it's completely badass. I wasn't originally going to buy a tablet and whilst walking around looking at the other tablets I didn't feel it was worth the money... I then played around with the 7 and it really looked, felt and worked very nicely! If you need a bigger screen get the 10 but I feel this is a perfect size! Very nice.

I suggest going back to the store and letting them know what's going on. I bought this bad boy yesterday and it's anything but slow downloading apps and loading HD youtube vids. For me it's pretty much instant. I'm loving it!

The stream quality is great and you can use pretty much any micro usb cable to charge the tablet, it doesn't have to be stock.

Just wish it had a higher MP front camera, that is much more important in a tablet imo. What are people more likely to want? High quality video chat, or high quality pictures of other stuff. It's a tablet, not a phone.
