Years ago i lived in NC. Being from 40 miles outside of Boston I was shocked when I sat through a green light and no one blew their horn! And you could have a conversation with a cashier and instead of getting a cart bashed into your legs, the people behind you joined in the conversation ❤ heaven

The yarn looks beautiful to me either way. To me it looks like an ombre yarn because it's dark color fading into the light color and Gradients I thought were self-striping.

Crystal showed the Premier gradient and I'm pretty sure you will love it. She said it was super soft and I think it's anti pilling so should be no issue for your hands.

I am running away and shutting up! Our JoAnn in Ontario has such nice people and very helpful! The one in Nampa, ID is tiny, crowded, and claustrophobic, the JoAnn in Boise and Tein Falls are both well stocked and helpful!! The Michaels varies widely!

Can’t wait to see a comparison between the two gradients😊. I made my adult granddaughters afghans with mandala bonus cakes, and 3 months later, they looked awful! No more fuzzy/ hairy yarns for me!

The last time I was at Joann's in Michigan was a few weeks ago and didn't see any new gradients but, I wasn't looking for any either. I plan on purchasing the Premier yarn because of the anti pilling. I felt Lion brand gradient yarn and it was just okay to me. My favorite mandala is the ombre based on feel.

We have the same thing for tax at both my locations in Oxnard and Thousand Oaks, CA. I never understood why we have the 3 different taxes and only at JoAnn. I did not know that Mandala also has a gradient cake. I will have to check those out. They are gorgeous!

Jen, Wow did not know Lion Brand had a new Gradient. I knew about Premier and was planning on trying it. Now I am going to wait for your side by side review. I don't buy a lot of Lion Brand yarn except for the Mandal which is a favorite. I have never been to Virginia or Michigan. I have been to Ohio, NY, and NJ. Being from the south I talk to everyone and been lucky so far that people smile and talk back to me in a friendly way. Maybe the stress level is worst in some states? Hi Jenn! I keep stalking the Lion Brand site for the gradient cakes daily because I live over an hour away from any Joann's. The closest one to me never stocks, it's dirty, and most of the employees are rude. So I mostly just order from Lion Brand online because it's more convenient. Can't wait to see your comparison when you get home

The Premier is a very subtle ombré. Although it’s called a gradient. Plus it is silky soft. Much prefer Premier!

My local Joann store never has anything on the floor, they store everything in the back. they have never put out the Prism yarn, Rave yarn or Tshirt yarn, if you ask and they aren't busy they will go in the back and get it for you but you have to know the color you want.

One Hobby Lobby had their clearance last week and the other store is having theirs this week and they said on the phone it’s almost gone. There’s another Joann’s over in Nampa but I don’t know if I’ll get over there. This is for southern Idaho.
