Your explanation of the cutting strip was eye opening. This explains why a print shop I use can't do die cut decals, just sticker pages, but why I can on a $200 machine called a Brother Scan N Cut. I kept thinking "just increase your force or depth, it'll cut right through", but I now get why they can't on theirs. This Graphtec system is nice :D

Matt has always said the Roland and Graphtec are 6 of 1, Half Dozen of the other. However, we use the Graphtec at our finished goods location and Matt uses his Graphtec at home, so we definitely have more information and videos on the Graphtec than the Roland vinyl cutters. Hey I have this plotter, and I’m wondering how you got the roll of stickers that you’re cutting? Does graphtech make a machine that can print on vinyl?

Any standard printer works fine! The Graphtec itself doesn't print, it only cuts. We have a VersaCamm that can print and cut both at the store front. The Roland VersaCAMM is a large-format printer/cutter that uses eco-solvent ink to print on a variety of materials, including vinyl, canvas, and paper. -TRW Crystal

Is this only to make decals? I'm looking to do printable vinyl that can be used to adhere to tumblers etc or HTV for apparel.

We don't have printable vinyl, but we have kits for beginners on how to create decals with htv and our HTV Anything material for tumblers, and for decals you can even layer stones on top. For shirts we have a wide variety of vinyl (even color changing), and rhinestones. -TRW Crystal

@@TheRhinestoneWorld yeah, but that video you linked doesn't explain how you did it without having to move the blade from tool position 3 to 1. Graphtec's tutorial shows to do the kiss cut first in position 1, then stop, move the blade to position 3, and do the perf cut. Your video shows it all being done in one motion.

This is a Graphtec. We print the images with registration marks so the machine knows where to cut after we design it in compatible software. Then we load it in, and it will cut around the images. -TRW Crystal

So I have a Etsy shop & currently run 8 Silhouette cameo 4’s , my shop is growing faster then I thought I only do print & cut “stickers” my question is the following 1- Can this cutter still cut A4 size glossy printable vinyl sticker sheets that I use ? 2- Can I still use the cutting mats I have on this ? Hey there! Unfortunately I'm not sure about that specific material, as it's not one we work with, but I'm sure that you can if you were able to cut it with the Cameo! You can use your cutting mat with the Graphtec, but it isn't necessary. - TRW Haley

Richard if you're cutting a ton of sheets (and with 8 machines going sounds like you are) the entire point of moving to a bigger cutter like a graphtech is a) for the speed, and b) to use the large rolls that they can cut as it's much more economical to buy large rolls that are measured in yards vs. tiny A4 sheets of sticker paper off Amazon or ebay. Those sticker sheets in A4/Letter packs always come from China and pass through middle men, you are paying double and sometimes triple for those.

Richard, did you find a good machine for your needed? Our commercial clients sell sticker sheets and I’m having a difficult time figuring out how to cut 5x7 sheets of kids cut stickers. Like you we are running multiple silhouettes and it’s a pin in the neck.

SixDeuces, The 7000 is $100 more than the 6000 and the big difference is the cutting channel. So if you are not doing perf cuts you won't notice a difference in the cut quality.

¡Y eso también está bien! Simplemente haz aquello con lo que te sientas cómodo. Asegúrese de recordar que si corta sin tapete, primero pruebe a cortar áreas pequeñas. Dado que está cambiando el grosor sin el tapete, es probable que primero deba ajustar la configuración de profundidad de la hoja y realizar una prueba. Recuerdo que cuando compré uno de mis primeros Cameo, tomé dos tapetes de 24 pulgadas de largo y los pegué con cinta adhesiva con cuidado en la costura para hacer un tapete de 48 pulgadas de largo.
