In the same boat here with Japan being my first nation(both air and ground). It is one of THE experiences of all time. Vehicles are still fun though, and I don't regret it either. Really looking forward to most of these vehicles making it in at some point.

If we’re going to have tanks and planes for Thailand I would also want to see Thai naval tree. Not entirely a naval tree because Thai navy is just for coastal defense. So a coastal fleet. HTMS Thonburi would really be an interesting vehicle.

Putting this here once again so people will remember it. I had an interesting dream once. It was about a book on the minor Axis powers of WWII that featured a tank Thailand had made before the war called the Type 86, which was a reverse-engineered Chi-Ha with a new, larger turret. The 57mm gun had long since been replaced with a tank gun based on the 75mm Type 90 field gun. The book had said that Thailand had built between 20 to 30 of these tanks before WWII started, and that they saw a bit of action along the border with Thailand and Burma (At the time part of the British Raj) sometime in June 1944. One was lost to a Matilda II and one ran into a river and was abandoned. The book also said that three were preserved: One at Bovington, one at Kubinka, and one outside the Parliamentary building in Bangkok.

I can see another Thai SPAA being added to the tech tree. Thailand utilizes a Starstreak missile mounted on an M51 Chaiprakarn utility vehicle or another similar utility vehicle. I expect it to have a BR of 9.7 to 10.0 and have a scout. This vehicle would be a beneficial addition for Japan, as it would help address the challenge of dealing with helicopters equipped with long-range ATGMs that exceed the Type 93 range. Sadly, this would be another high-tier Japanese SPAA option that does not include a search radar, so you are reliable with team callout or your standard issue M1 eyesight.

As far as I can find Thailand has the Starstreak system, but not mounted on any vehicles. They also have a single ADATS system, but again not on a vehicle and instead as a stationary system. Thanks for the suggestion though, if you think I'm missing anything please let me know

More nations being added to war thunder has literally been ONE of the worst things to happen to this game lol. Asymmetrical gameplay and any semblance of historical realism has completely eroded away. We all know how this goes, Gaijin adds a new country and it's 15 tanks you've already played before in the US, British, Russian, and German tree oh and also some obscure original tank destroyer and 4 slight variations of the Leopard 1/2 or T-72.

While I do agree that seeing unique vehicles be sent to so many nations is disheartening. It's also worth noting that from a gameplay perspective, it's one of the only ways for small nations like Japan to continue getting new stuff when the big 3 just keep getting new toys. And it's also worth noting that making new vehicles is such an arduous effort for a nation to do so naturally, a lot of nations like Poland or Thailand would generally be better off just buying what's there instead of making your own. I'm not a fan of copy-paste vehicles either, but it's either copy-paste or we get the wot problem of ignoring real vehicles in favor of making their own.

I fully agree with your poin on historical realism being thrown out the window. I do think other nations should be added, Gaijin is just doing it in the worst way possible. I'll probably go more in depth on this next video.
