I have Not much battles vs end Tier Spaa but i dont find them unbeatable, could score S6 and pantsir kills with my german TT g91 with guns vs them, s6 was not aware of me and pantsir was looking for our nuke jaguar, my personally opinion is still the maps need an major overhaul, many maps Just suck for Spaa like lost City, both sides have 1 Spot each to place from where you can attack Planes and low flying Helikopter, others have no plane to hide or covered area where you can hide and ambush Planes. should get an major overhaul

ADATS just got a buff yesterday so it doesn't lose all its energy the moment you move the cursor anymore. Tracks alot more consistently. It's still the worst top tier missile SPAA because of IRST lock only but at least you should be able to aim it more consistently.

You can also set a keybind to switch your target track and as long as the 2 targets stay within a certain radius you can freely swap between them. This makes it much easier to hit multiple munitions coming in. It should be called "Select radar/IRST target to lock on". Basically lock the first thing, launch, switch targets, launch the 2nd missile and both will track

Considering the Chap. is only 10.0 and not rank 8, it's not a top tier SPAA. It's the best Israel has in-game and it sucks. Just got a wait for Gaijin to add the Spyder

12:43 The SPO-15 RWR in the Su-25 (And allot of other Russian aircraft) is only capable of picking up bands G, H, and I. That means it can see neither your search or track radars. If they didn't spot the launch, they have literally no idea they're being shot at. It is also funny enough incapable of picking up any radar energy from the Gepard, Roland, Marksman, ZA-35, Osa, Otomatic, and Santal. Russian RWR before the digital age is kinda just sad for threat detection outside of fighters in I-Band.

That is only the base spo 15 which isn't very common as opposed to the later variants, e.g the spo 15 on the mig 29 9-13 can pick up just band

I’m suggesting it because it has five crew members and a spall liner as well as a frontal engine at 10.3. Basically, you can take more hits than an mbt and it’s hilarious.

i don't think most people would like that, i knwo from driving Pantsir after Tunguska that a Truck chassis is much worse, the turning circle is very big compared to 0 on the Tunguska, Tunguska can go top speed in both directions and has much better moblity over all. I still hope they add Pantsir-S1 with tracked chassis, it's just much better in the game, since the advantages of wheeled chassis aren's a thing in the game( better transport on the road and cheaper)

If u add the swap target keybind u can launch a missile at sb then swap and launch at sb else and the previus missile will automatically keep tracking the previus target. Tors have up to 2 target tracks, pantzir gets 4.

Its actually so insane that 12.0 SPAA have to face 14.0 BR jets like the F-15E, Su-34, EF-2000, F-16C etc, that can wipe out multiple targets in a single sortie and nullify any SPAA advantage. I don't care what any CAS player says, if you think that being able to shoot off 6 Kh-38MT's and immediately run away with very low risk of being shot down by SPAA you are literally in denial. And if you tell me "just spawn a plane" first off, some people might not have access to a top tier fighter that can combat the above mentioned aircraft, secondly, believe it or not, some people in Ground RB want to play tanks, not Air RB 2.0

ADATS has the advantage of not triggering RWRs since it doesnt use a track radar but a EO....search radar off+EO=very decent SAM,use it all the time 11:33 Use change target while lock and the missile will auto guide the last target

Pantsir was always balanced. What wasn't balanced was no other nations getting anything equivalent. SPAA should *always* dominate in the plane vs SPAA matchup.

Question about this and the normal Tor. If you use irst lock and lock onto a aircraft, if they flare, will it lose lock similiarly to chaff in normal search and track?

I’ve had it happen before, but they have to fly in a way where the flare and plane stay in the same “cone”. Most of the time it’ll snap back to the jet though.

Well I guess I find myself disagreeing with the reason behind it seeing Su-34s and Eurofighters is because it can also kill a tank with its missiles 😅putting it 11.3 doesn’t change much in what it can and can’t pen, only saves it from seeing aircraft it can’t shoot down 🤙

​@@Virus_WT I get what you saying but if we go with that reasoning then why an SPAA like the TOR which has no guns and can't effectively kill tanks ( yes its doable but not even remotely effective ) with its missiles would be on the same BR ? So you would need to push other SPAA down etc etc. It's a double edge sword. Ultimately it's always a BR compression issue but yeah 🤙

@user-qq8ek4zs4s yeah, I agree. Ideally those jets would (and probably will) go up in BR instead of the ADATS going down, but I still don’t think the missiles are good enough to warrant it. Especially since, I believe, the British ADATS is the same BR and doesn’t have a gun. I haven’t played them much recently, so I could definitely be wrong, and it turns out the missiles are actually one shot killers against everything it sees. Might be something I look in to in the future. I just wish there was a better alternative for American I suppose, but that’s a doctrinal issue

The su25 doesnt have the rwr range to detect your radar lock and launch warning, not only that it uses an oldschool rwr that only shows the direction hes getting pinged from

I think the reason why russia doesn't have a Tor in it's tech tree is that the Tor-M1 wasn't strong enough for one of the biggest nations in the game and the nation that builds most SAMs, so they wanted russia to have the best SAM, just like USA having the best CAS and Germany the best tank (in theory(i know sweden and Hungary have literally the same tank and that US CAS isn't always superior to Russian)) So Tor-M1 wasn't an option as toptier SAM for Russia. HQ-17 is chinese, so russia couldn't have it in their tech tree Tor-M2 has double amount of missiles that are smaller(so maybe even more maneuverable and faster) and has 16km range, Tor-M2 can also fire on the move, so it's very similar to Pantsir, with some differences, 2km less range, 4 extra missiles, no guns but better missiles flight performance beyond 10km, and also the Tor chassis is much more useful in the game compared to the Pantsir truck because it's more maneuverable. So at the end it proabably would have been as good as Pantsir or even better. but if Russia has Tor-M2 at the same BR as China Tor-M1 nobody would likle that since it's clear that M2 is much better. So they just added Pantsir instead of Tor, because Tor-M1 proabably seemed to weak for russia and Tor-M2 was worse option for gaijin to add. At least that's how i could imagine how all of this happened.

I've probably got 30 tank kills with the pantsir missiles. It's always funny because it usually takes 3 or more unless it's a light tank. I smoked a xm800 with it and that felt really good 😂

I am grinding the china tree right now because the TOR is my favorite SAM, even though my Pantsir is just better. Agree with the ADATS not being a top tier SAM as well. I find myself taking the US roland and even Sgt York out instead because their radars actually work.

Pantsir was such out of the blue addition. They should've added TOR M1 and when chineese got HQ-17, the Russians should've got TOR-M2. Although now it doesn't matter, since CAS is so broken beyond recognition.

Tor-M2 is actually much better than HQ-17, it has better missiles, 8 more missiles and can fire on the move. And i'm not sure if it's better or worse compared to Pantsir. also at the time Pantsir was added the soviet SPAA line was ZSU-57-2 -> ZSU-37-2 -> ZSU-23-4 -> 2S6 -> Pantsir This line makes sence, ZSU-37-2 and ZSU-23-4 were supposed to be both successor of the ZSU-57-2, but only ZSU-23-4 was put into service. The successor of ZSU-23-4 was the 2S6, and the successor of the 2S6 was obviously the Pantsir, having almost the same design. The Tor was the successor of the OSA, which was a new weapon type as SAM vehicle, while the 2S6 was the evolution of gun SPAAG having better guns than the previous model and also it became necessary to mount missiles on SPAA because things like the AH-64. sure, the Pantsir isn't really a SPAAG anymore, more of a SAM with guns and also outranges TOR with it's missiles (not to mention Pantsir S-2/SM with 30/40km range) but since they added Tunguska(and Shilka instead of Strela-1) and not OSA it made sence that Pantsir was added and not Tor.

Imo the TOR-M1 should be moved to the USSR Tree; the HQ17 should have put in China directly instead of the TOR-M1 and for another Top Tier SPAA China can get the FK-2000 (Check it out if you don't know what it is; its amazing)
