New GT2 Lobbies Are Incredible - New Radar Promotes Clean Racing Forza Motorsport GT

As a Noob to sim racing, I thought I'd share my Forza Touring Car experiences, my wins, my loses and my wtf moments. I try to explain my thought process and hopefully provide you with a learning guide or useful tips.
My strategy is simple, stay alive at all cost. We all know Forza Motorsport can be a little chaotic at times. I hope with a more passive tactic, I can swoop in and take the position. While also improving my own skills as a sim racing driver.
Track learning is key, hopefully by reviewing my race choices and my mistakes, I can help others learn and improve upon their lap times. Thus making the racing world more fun and competitive.
I am using a G920 Logitech wheel, and playing Forza Motorsport on PC using Xbox Game pass. I do not have the VIP, or cars pass, this is the basic game as available to everyone.
I do hope you all enjoy the content, Racing and Sim racing is great fun and helps you escape the harsh reality of the life.

I enjoy the game. They fixed the biggest issues that came with the release. I don't expect developers to make a perfect game

I think the updates are big strides into developing the game. The last few updates have been solid. Still a lot of terrible bugs that should have been fixed are known. Yet still hit us once in a while. Same as other things like replays half the time save other half the game forgets lol. While still only being able to record for 20 mins. Like those are big issues that need addressing. Especially since the game is coming up to a year old lol

Another nice video, thanks Flash. Love how you can see your attention being deviated by the radar the first few laps, and then you focus and reel in the win with full control. Class! Raiden btw, for me is the lightning god out of Mortal Kombat ⚡. You're now the reason I'm thinking "dab'o'tha'brakes' everytime I do a smooth corner in game - you say those words so fast, should be your catchphrase:)

Radar is a great addition. From what I saw. I do think radar should pop up sooner or show you further behind. Just to help with divers. But very happy to have it at all.

I couldn’t agree more there bud. I did find it late and leave to early. I was on acc earlier and found that the radar was far more effective. By coming in earlier and leaving once the car was around 0.2 to 0.4 seconds away. Which is quite the gap.

Also racing is amazing when you know you are just 2tenths up in one turn, then 5tenths the next. Pushing the driver to risk it. Longer races means that people can have those :)

Honestly, it can be distracting at times, but it being placed on the horizon means u can look generally towards the track while also knowing how close someone is. But that's just me personally.

It can be. But I am also kind of used to it thanks to acc and ac. Yeah a few people have mentioned a little more personal placement would be nice but that may come once it has been tested and if there any bugs with it. Never know lol

Idk how to feel about radar, on one hand it will encourage a load of players to play cockpit, which I think is awesome as a cockpit player, but then as someone who learnt to race well without the radar, it kinda takes away an advantage I have over players, it does take away real spatial awareness abilities as players come to rely on the radar, so, 50/50 for me

Yeah I totally get you there bud. I have found it has encouraged cleaner and closer racing as people have been able to judge better. But that’s part of online life where people have different levels of skill

@justamanchimp yeah I get you bud. I do think S class needs to be far far harder to obtain and then that class should be in a league of its own. Like ACC does along with many other more sim titles. Then it’ll please both worlds. Biggest issue would be filling all the seats. But really your only ever racing the person in front and defending from the person behind so whether you have 3 or 24 in a lobby, as long as you are competitive your only racing that 1 position at a time. If you’re looking for more competitive racing come and join the discord bud. Link is on my page or in the description. Races are held Saturday evenings by a fellow viewer and friend. Also there is far more in there to lol

I love the radar. I do wish I would have more control over its size and position, though. They also need to turn it on by default. I played several hours without knowing it was in the game yet lol

Yeah I agree maybe a few more custom options would be great and may well be implemented once we have bug tested it out for a few months. Yeah I think being on by default over the arrows is a far better and smarter choice lol. Great thinking buddy. :)

Yeah I looked into that but then it’s location is much harder to keep an eye on. While it is in front of you. You cannot miss it while it’s also not being intrusive. It is whatever works best for you though.

the reason why ur tyres were worse the 2nd stint, is because you pitted after lap 9, making the 2nd stint 2 laps longer.

Yeah the penny didn’t drop until after lmao. I should have pitted a lap later (end of lap 10) still I was quite surprised how well they lasted while on minor wear.

Funny how some of these games don't have BASIC elements of racing...and their player base has to wait for something so standard. I tried the game out finally on a wheel and wasn't impressed. Plus... coming from civilized racing with a spotter and radar....I couldn't deal. As much as I've heard over the years about Forza drivers....they don't need to drop a damn thing without radar bare minimum.

Yeah but in fairness coming from other racing sims and games. What we define as basic is totally different from person to person. I love having a spotter and radar system. While also being able to adjust on the fly brake bias abs tc etc etc but for a game that is designed for 3 year olds and 300 year olds their has to be give and take on both sim/realism and understandable and ease of use. Also the player base isn’t that crazy. There are instances. Like everything that’s online. Still have a blast though. I would say radar should be bare minimum these days but the game did start with proximity arrows which is like worse than basic lmfao. But it was something lol

they removed the gt series😢😢 and introduced the gt2🤮🤮🤮why they not make gt, gt2, gt3 and players to have opportunity to play wath they want.

I think it’s to make them more competitive with each other. You can still rebuild the time. It’s just the power rating of the original tune that is blocking you from using it bud.

They now tried too hard to imitate Gran Turismo and failed miserably to the point GT is way more superior than FM, the game isn't that fun anymore, the tracks are looped and there's not that much car variety, specially with the fact they recycled sounds on a considerable amount of them :/

I cannot compare to GT only go by what I have heard, still until i play that game, Its not a fair opinion. Last GT game I played was GT4 on PS2 lmfao. Still there is a lot of work needed in this game and there is no denying that. But each update is an improvement. all the best bud

The worst thing Forza Motorsport ever did was try to become a competitive racer. It was most fun as a simple arcade casual racer. Now it's just a bad version of GT.
