Fantastic; this is why I hate hearing that the Boxster is the "entry level" Porsche. No! It's their mid-engine race car, and the Spyder is the highest variant of the best-balanced model. What Chloe showed is what Boxster and Cayman owners have known for years: these cars are best enjoyed when pushed or on track. Congrats!

I read awhile back that if you put a 911 engine into a boxster, it will outperform the 911. They can't have that though, as the 911 is outdated but Porsche's icon. Dunno if that was or still true.

@@airtioteclint That's not true. The handling characteristics are completly different and in favor of the 911. The 911 has more downforce, more grip, better launch and better aerodynamics. A 911 engine would imrpove a boxster, but it would still be leagues behind a 911 How can 911' be "outdated" when they are crushing supercars and dominating tracks, so no, a boxster with a 911 engine would still be inferior

Certain Camaros have some the highest lateral grip available due massive sticky tires. Plus the Alpha chassis is pretty good. So not too surprising.

Camaros and Mustangs have improved a ton. The regualr Camaro SS runs lap times nearly identical to a BMW M4.

@@TranceFur I don't think they have torque vectoring though, which is what porsche uses to enhance grip in corners. Also the weight distribution is probably better on Porsches. Camaros and mustangs look cool though, and they sound amazing, if the exhaust is done right. Plus they have the hp to power a small town haha

@@gab7506 911 probably wouldn't beat it (considering other variables to be the same i.e. Weather, Driver). Slalom is a highly chasis driven manuver where weight-balance matters a lot! 718 being mid-engined is very likely to excell over 911 here. Engine power, torque, aerodynamics etc. mean so little when it is a constant low speed manuver . Aerodynamics doesn't even come into equation until you go over 60-70 kph.

@@realMDizzy in a supercharged miata with at least semi slicks, tons of suspension upgrades and a cage, sure. in a stock miata on stock tires? no fucking way! Also the McLarens or other hypercars are made for anything above 200km/h, not slaloms. they're a bit heavier and quite a bit larger, without necessarily having better tires.

@@SuperGeronimo999 They said production cars. The McLarens will be much too wide and downforce won't help much at these speeds. An MX-5 would be far too soft and lack grip. Ariels are pretty wide too but maybe. A BAC Mono would beat it comfortable while a Radical SR8 would be pretty unbeatable. Not many "normal" cars (i.e. cars with a stereo) would be competitive with this though. The only one I can think of that would beat it would be a 488 Pista (edit: forgot the Exige). Don't underestimate how nimble these cars are though- the Spyder can go round the Nurburgring in a similar time to a Ferrari 812, Carrera GT or M8 Comp. It's faster than a Zonda F or McLaren 650S and that's on a track that loves power so in this kind of contest it'll decimate those cars.
