The only difference is that although my hairstyle is very similar to yours, it's just a bit longer all around, and my hair's deep teal at the roots, blending well to a bright teal at the middle strands to ends of my hair. Love this color. I've been dying my hair red for years. I use the exact same R2 by Garnier Nutrisse as well. It turns out so nice. Made especially for dark hair. I let it set for 25 minutes. Perfect shade every time. My hair is nice and soft too. I get so many compliments on the color of my hair. Like you, I don't like the copper tone in reds. The medium auburn seems like it was made for me.

Everyone seem to always say box color is bad for your hair but never can explain why. Because I honestly seen better DIY job on KZbin and online than some salon works.

Box dyes are a metallic dye, which doesn't mix with any bleaches or any other professional hair color. If you do use box dyes and then bleach your hair, and you still have hair on your head, consider yourself lucky.

Shianne Alexandra Sam dyed her own hair uses boxes and then went to a salon and bleached it last summer. Her hair looks fine and she still has a full head. lmfaoo.

It gets old going to a salon, everyone loves your hair, then they laugh when you tell them what you use. Rarely do you see stylists with nice hair. Why should I care what someone with fried hair has to say? I quit going a long time ago. Last time we went was for my youngest to cut her hair for locks of love. She wanted an A-line bob, stacked in the back.

Lori Crabtree love this comment. Most stylists hair looks over processed and dried out and extremely layered and nothing highly desirable like a thick healthy long mane of shine! I'm going back to home coloring because gone through many stylists that just fry, thin out and cause split end on my hair and blame me. No honey it's you and your poor skills, my hair had no split ends and was 4 times thicker when I did it. So done with these arrogant stupid salons in LA that don't know what they are doing. Total jokes.

I can relate to this! I used to always do my hair at home, but everyone kept telling me I was ruining my hair and I needed to go to the salon to make sure it was done right and healthy, so I went to a high rated salon and she RUINED my hair! I wanted burgundy all over with blonde highlights and she gave me copper all over and left the bleach on my head too long and my hair started just snapping off! ! She ruined my hair so bad I had to get 6 inchs chopped off and I was trying to grow it out! Never going to a salon again NEVER.

@misskimaru Yes but as mentioned I already dyed my hair to medium auburn brown before switching to this dye. I recommend dying your hair brown before hand so you won't have to do so many dyes for the red to show.

I just got this dye, and I'm so freakin excited! A bit ago I used the Revlon Colorstay in their auburn color, and it completely washed out in 2 weeks. I hope this one is a lot more long-lasting!

I absolutely love your hair color! I was thinking of getting my hair dyed soon and am planning to dye this color! Great timing of this video. I've been through different hair colors ranging from brown to light brown to burgundy to auburn, etc. I'd say burgundy/auburn are my fav hair colors since my natural hair color is dark brown. Although, when my natural hair grows out, the touch-ups are kinda a pain for me when my hair is in reddish shade. Browns are easier for my new hair to blend into. :)

Love this color! I've never colored my hair. I have natural medium brown hair with already natural red highlights (think a lot of brunettes do too) I really wanna bring out the more red/purple undertones, like a deep color, and this is exactly what I was looking for! I'm excited to give it try. I've noticed how different the same dye's can look on different people so it's definitely a bit trial and error. Thanks for this :)

I absolutely love it! I haven't dyed my hair since I was a freshman in college and that was a few years ago so I doubt I'll dye it again even though I really want to. I'm going to see if there are natural color alternatives so I don't have to put crucial chemicals on it.

AHH YAY!! I have (or shud I say "had") dark brown/black Asian hair and just dyed it with R2.. I was so afraid that it would hardly show up on my hair, but thank goodness it came out a really pretty, deep, & vibrant red :D not damaged at all either! I recently got Dark Intense Auburn and it works really well to i had a dark brown on top and a medium light brown on the bottom. It's also by Garnier as well.

Just a helpful note for people: ONLY use this if you already have dark hair!!! I had light brown hair and tried this (overlooking the note about being intended for dark hair), and my hair turned a weird light hot pink color. I spent over $100 stripping and recoloring to fix. Good brand, good stuff, just be super careful!
