As odd as that might seem it does occasionally happen and they make new possible routes for the story to progress for it to be engaging as a visual novel.

Honestly, this is a serious comment, but I can strongly recommend people to watch Psycho-Pass. I also strongly recommend the person reading this to watch it in Japanese with English subtitles. I have rewatched it in both, and there is certainly a different dynamic between the two. The art-style is great, the voice actors are amazing, and the music is god-like. It is one of the most successful animes with 4 seasons and 4 movies!! Definitely give Season 1 a shot. Without spoiling anything regarding the plot itself, the anime stands out from the rest because it presents a futuristic society in an ACTUALLY REALISTIC WAY. If you look at the technologies in Psycho-Pass (police drones, self-driving cars, personal AI assistants, AI-determined job selection, etc), most of it already exists in experimental labs around the world today and will most likely be commonplace within the next 20-30 years. It triggers a psychological conundrum regarding automation and technology; where society is being thrown in a future it is not ready for. With increasing new challenges that are coming whether we like it or not, there are certain fundamental questions that we right now simply do not have the answers for. And it is crucial we start thinking about those answers now, before it is too late. Psycho-Pass depicts a futuristic dystopian universe which invites the viewer to reflect on the current evolutionary progress and asks us to choose between comfortability and privacy, between self-determination or uncertainty, between safety and freedom. Proper watch order is: Season 1 -> Season 2 -> The Movie -> Case 1 (movie) -> Case 2 (movie) -> Case 3 (movie) -> Season 3 -> First Inspector (3 eps)
