Mine makes noise when idle , us that normal? You said it is quiet , it's like a crunch motor noise. The vendor had told me that's normal but yours is silent

@@PingPongPowerhouse currently I see no full on training videos explaining and showing how drills are made and performed by the robot. So a longer video would be nice. Also, if possible give a comparison of this versus the Power Pong Models.

Okay, for my birthday I went ahead and purchased the Omni S Pro from Amazon. It came fairly quickly and I'm looking forward to the unboxing as soon as my time permits. Also for my Christmas present (gotta have a reason!) I bought a new 25mm (1 inch) Stiga brand ping pong table that was on sale for $500. It was normally priced in the mid -$800's to even upper $900's, so not bad. That I did without noticing that it was the same brand of table Greg used in his video here. I guess your video impressed my subconscious more deeply than I realized, Greg! I hope I can use the robot to move from a recreational player to a decent club one. But mostly I'm looking forward to the exercise and losing weight and improving my mobility that it will help with. 😊👍

how hard can it throw the ball? i see that in the spec it only can only do up to 15m/s which is much slower than i've seen advertised on other robots. E.g many advertise 40m/s? How does the rotating head compare to the 3 wheel design of the butterfly?

How many balls can you set for multi-ball as you like? Can you set individual ball speed and delay time?

Can you create your own custom drills and can a drill have different types of spin (underspin, topspin and side spin)? Can you put the robot at different location like at the corner instead of in the middle?

Yep, you can program multiple balls and each one can have their own unique spin. So, this robot is made to attach to the center of the table. If you really want to move the robot around, then look for the “Nova S Pro”. It’s a cheaper version that sits on top of the table and can be placed in different positions.

@@PingPongPowerhouse what I mean in my previous question was if I can have different types of spin (top, side, back) in the SAME drill or if I have to manually adjust the robot head every time I want to change the type of spin and that I can only have a single type of spin per drill.

@@WuFei0707 With all pongbots you can have top spin and underspin balls delivered automatically in the same drill. With the Nova S (table top model) you have to adjust the head manually if you want a side top or side under ball. When the head is adjusted that way, all balls delivered will have the same type of side spin until you manually adjust the head back to a neatural position. With the Omni and Halo models, the robot can deliver all types of spin automatically in the same drill. The pongbot website has a good breakdown of the capabilities of each model. FWIW - I own a power pong 5000 and a Pongbot Halo - and the pongbot beats the power pong IMO for two reasons. #1 - the pongbot can actually produce short 2 bounce serves (the Powerpong ALWAYS hits the net no matter how I adjust the head), and #2 the pongbot has pace adjustment that is easier to use and more accurately simulates a real world game than the power pong.

@@PingPongPowerhouse Hi, I actually have the more expensive Halo S Pro which also allow placing the robot to play with or without the net. However, when I set the robot in position 1 with the net (which means the robot now is about 37cm from the table), when I try to set custom drill, the ball landing is all wrong. So does it make any difference if I play the drills in position 1 with and without the net, since with net, it is 37cm from the table edge, and without net, it is 0cm from table edge...thanks, Wilson

Im using the Robo Pong 3050 XL since 2 years training DAILY with it from warming up to complex irregular excercises starting with short serve, long backspin ball to open up followed by 2 faster topspins on repeat random all over the table. The advantages of the Robo Pong is that u can see the spin and amount (4 green leds and 4 red ones) as well as the amount of sidespin since the head turns to the side for those so u see exactly what you get. You can also setup complex excercises like i mention above pretty easily. My question is, how good is the Omni Bot with that, how does the spin type/amount works with just the 2 leds, can you see sidespin and how easy can u setup ur own complex random drills including realisitic sidespin serves etc ?

Yeah…so the settings options are different when you’re actively connected to the robot. I checked when I wasn’t connected…oops. I know about it now 😅 Thanks!

What is the speed . Like is it faster than Amicus prime in terms of throwing the balls at you. i am chopper i find the speed of balls away from the table little bit slower to practice defense with Amicus prime.. but for attacks close to the table its awesome. i need more powerful topspins to chop .. so is it better in that area compared to Amicus? thanks

So, I don’t own a Prime (I have Amicus Advance). I looked up the stats/manual for the Prime though, and I can’t find the Ball Speed m/s anywhere. So I’m not sure what the speed difference is, exactly. The Omni S Pro can shoot between 2-15 m/s, just for your reference.

Hi, Please advise 1. Does the bot can produce top, side and back spin at a single fixed point on the table without rotating its head?.This is critical that helps player read the spin 2. Does the bot has true separation of spin and speed?. Can it generate a very high spin ball but with low speed?

Where should we go to purchase the PongBot Omni S Pro? I see it on Amazon but would rather buy from a US-based vendor. Is there someone in the USA that you recommend? How can they ship me a new unit off Amazon unless there is an American warehouse location?

Have they done anything to answer your two complaints at this time, about the delay of starting a drill and giving an option to turn off the voice? [Note: i see later in the comments you discovered there was an off switch for the voice.] Also, is there any USA based customer service for the company?

I haven’t owned an Amicus Prime (only Advance), but I’ve watched reviews and it seems like the same machine I have…just with a tablet/app. And it costs way more. So right now I’m firmly liking PongBot the most based on the features I talk about in the video 👍

Oh, lol. I haven’t had a single jam so far. I try to make sure I clean the balls off sometimes though, since my garage floor gets dust and dirt on it.

At 3:35 the robot make a service and it’s seems really the robot make a serve with a rebound in his own court which really seems a service that no player does because it is so basic… Can your record real serves and serve receptions .. I am not convinced by this overly commercial demonstration …sorry

I could maybe make a KZbin Short or something showing some other scenarios. I definitely didn’t dive into examples of drills/realistic placements enough for the video footage. Just wanted to introduce the robot to folks. I could see how I felt/talked a bit commercially. I was tired and hadn’t filmed a video in months, haha.
