Thanks Mitch! Yeah I was so surprised when I found it haha, I rarely find agates at all on the Yakima River and if I do they're water lined and usually small.

Happy for you that you got hip boots that expand your search area That banded agate is awesome! If you have a birthday coming up a collapsible rock scooper from Kingsley North is very practical, good for balance while fording thru moving water and you can pick up rocks in the water without bending over

welcome to the world of waders! i keep dryer when not wearing them as i am more careful bout/around the water, on the other hand with out them you have to pass up some intresting spots to search.

@@gunnarnizzler just dont get to brave when you are wearing them, because troule will come fast when they fill with water, that is one reason i will not wear hip boots or chest waders during the winter any more, to many accidents and near drownings while wearing them,, if you wear them in the winter PLEASE BE CAREFUL.

BEAUTIFUL find! I've gotta get up there and find a carnelian! Your boots are awesome! I live in Gresham and usually burn a tank of gas going up to John Day Dam to get AWESOME agates/jasper/ quartz and many others. I dream now of going up to the hills you found your amazing carns. Never tried waders yet but they sure give you a advantage to finding more great rocks. That agate is awesome :)

Thanks! I love it! And yes, the waders are great. Someone warned me on here that I need to be careful about them getting full of water and dragging me down so I am now very aware of that! haha
