My dealer sold Kubota and New Holland when I bought the BX23S I was trying to decide between the two until the sales guy nonchalantly whispered get the Kubota. I figured he knew more than I did never owning a tractor before so I took his advice and don’t regret it.

The NH Workmaster 25S is the same thing as the LS MT125S. When the machines first came out there were several issues that came about because of LS’ oversight of the engineering. In one instance, the oil drain plug was too long and would impact the front axle when attempting to change the oil. It’s been addressed on the newer machines and a TSB was published for repairing the older ones but they have a bad reputation because of these little growing pains.

I’ve had my WM35 for three years. Regarding the front end loader, yes there is a small lift capacity drawback but the further out the attachment is in front of you, combined with the the sloping hood and arms make it easier to see the end of your forks. I still have to stand up but I can see the tips of the 48” forks when they are on the ground. It would be impossible if they were any closer to the nose of the tractor.

When I bought a new tractor last year, I briefly looked at NH. But between the only nearby dealing being "less than impressive", and the product line being every bit as confusing as you've said it is, it never made it to the short list. But if this video had been around then, I would have probably researched it further and even considered dealers further away! But even though this isn't relevant to me personally now, it's still interesting and worthwhile to see these videos about products on the "less traveled" road. And who knows when it might become relevant in the future!

I absolutely love the workmaster 25. Nice large frame machine that is simple and easy to work on. For my application, the loader on the 35 and 40 models is a huge drawback. It’s great to see some more exposure for the small new Holland tractors as they are very nice but don’t get near the publicity that Kubota/JD get.

When I was test driving tractors in the compact size, the Kubota did not impress me, brakes were behind the dreaded treadle pedal, the operators station & cab lacked compared to other brands. Ended up with a Boomer, the long sweeping loader really works well for my farm!
@namewithheld367 Жыл бұрын
To each their own. I prefer the treadle pedal because it is easier on the leg when turning around to see where I am going while backing up. I have severe sciatica so I have to bend my knee in order to twist my torso around so it the treadle makes it much more comfortable.

I had wanted a Workmaster 25s but after moving I decided I needed a bigger tractor to lift more weight, logs specifically, I ended up getting an LS MT25s. I didn't see anything like it in the NH line up. The Workmaster 25 was cheaper and lacking in some niceties like the loader stick on the fender. But the 35/40 would be too big for my 2 acres. Is there a comparable tractor in the New Holland line up to the LS?
@jameslucas820 Жыл бұрын
The Workmaster compact tractors are built by LS tractors. I have a Workmaster 40 which I love, but if there was an LS dealer near me I would have bought one. The LS tractors are significantly cheaper than the almost identical NH.
@fmixthings Жыл бұрын
@@jameslucas820 that was my deal. I have a NH dealer close to me and the LS dealer is much further away but not far enough to deter me from buying the LS. My workmaster 35 cracked the fuel tank on it with only 40 hrs on the clock. Its due to the useless way the fuel tank mountings are using some- what looks like weather strip foam on the tank mounts,this stuff was compressed to paper thin and useless for isolation. the tank is $400! so i ended up plastic welding it and putting it back together with thicker rubber to prevent this happening again...hopefully.

I installed Pat's easy change on my TC30 lower link arms. I would put it on those Workmasters as well. Why fight them. The quick attach is a must in this day and age. I've looked into switching out but the $1600+ and the fact that it would loss 150lbs (850 max lift) and added weight is a no go. This also puts the weight another foot away from the loader (more losses). Now I'm thinking of a direct pin on set of forks. It's closest to the FEL and the lightest thing available. Would require heavy fab and total pain to hook it up. Does anyone sale/ make a fork with adjustable bracket for pinning it on. It's for Bush hog FEL?

Loader work - hydro Ground engagement/row crop - gear
@donaldstrishock3923 Жыл бұрын
The BEST thing is there is NO shortage of GEARS with a 12×12 & shift on the fly "Four on the Floor" ( realy off the fender). The hydro-slack-o-howl-o-slip-o-matics need an extra 40% more HP just to act close to a "Real gear Drive". That loader has amplifying bucket-linkage assembly's, for LOTS of bucket articulation. The "bloomers" buckel-itise loader arms =silly,& mounted pivot point practically an 1/8" behind the front axle & 6 feet in front of wheels to get some height--- what a terrible sacrifice !!! ,plus NO AMPLIFYING bucket linkages = limited dump & curl back function. Best wishes with all your endeavours.

A lot of people think New Holland bought Ford. Quite the opposite! Ford bought New Holland in the late 1980's along with Versaille. Ford wanted out of the agricultural business and wanted to look more attractive to a buyer with multiple brands. Fiat was it! They bought out Fords agricultural line and after a certain amount of years all products were to be labeled NEW HOLLAND. That is why you see early 1990s tractors with Ford New Holland. As the 90's rolled on New Holland stickers on the machines got larger and Ford got smaller. Then one day we all woke up and Ford was gone entirely.
