You can get Polycrylic from Lowe's or HD to seal your table. It's super easy to apply (do at least 3 coats). That should make a big difference. You can buy it in a matte finish too.

I second this! Get the matte finish to prevent it from being shiny and you could actually try it on the underside to see if you like it.

I'm just catching up on videos, but I came to the comments to say the same thing... I am a constant DIYer and the matte finish poly is the thing I would do to prevent adding shine or a topper for protection.

Parenting is hard because of us. Children are learning how to be a functioning human. We often take advantage of what we already know. But it is hard for us because we have experiences of pain and hurt and also little patience because as adults in most work forces, everything has to be done quick, fast, and in a hurry. Having children causes us to face our weaknesses. Patience was indeed one of mine. Now it's not so much. Parenting, like anything else new that we do, pushes us towards growth. I learned that personally, it's hard when I resist the growth. You got this, Jamie!! You will always figure out what works for you. You have a great support system, and I couldn't imagine doing it without my husband's support. Your feelings are valid, but dont forget youre doing great and a lot of the stages you're experiencing are firsts. And then again, firsts with the twins because twins are very different.

Ive been on a big spring cleaning kick waiting for Alaska spring to hurry over. I love that youre adding more organization items into your videos because I am adding more organizing into all areas of my house, but I dont do it all at once like other videos. You do it in a way that isnt overwhelming.

You’re concept of high point and low point has actually helped me survive the past almost 3 weeks. My 2 month old daughter passed away from what’s looking like as SIDS and I have had to find the good point in almost every single day just to make it through for my 3 little boys. I truly appreciate you and everything you do. I just wanted to make sure I came on here to tell you exactly the good you’re doing without realizing it and just how important you are!

Hi Jamie , I have been watching your UTube channel for probably since you started your community , I enjoy all your tips and tricks for getting out stains , along with your cleaning products that you use, I have been enjoying your organization tips as well, you have helped me with a lot of things, at 63 yrs old to be learning about great cleaning products and equipment, so that being said, I think your twins were about 2 yrs old or almost 3 yrs, it’s been amazing watching all 3 of your girls growing up, and I love your high points and low points, that you share every week, and today you mentioned how parenting is hard and I want you to know I agree with you, I had 5 children they were born between 1980 and 1987 , 3 boys and 2 girls and then my mom was a foster parent and we adopted 2 boys that were in the same age range as our biological children, along with them we took legal guardian ship of a family members daughter, so it was 5 boys and 3 girls , which the boys were all older than the girls all of them were born between 1980 and 1990 , and having each one had different personalities all did great in school, we were raising our kids in Lomita, California, and I have to say that wait till the teen age yrs , when they start dating you go through the heart breaks which I think was the hardest part of parenting, I used to joke with friends that they need to wait until their 30s to start dating, j/k , but we trusted our kids and they knew that they could talk to us about anything, knew when we were parents and when we could be their friends, as parents we were the house that all their friends were always at our house especially when the parents were working they would come over after school and the weekends we sometimes had 5 or 7 kids that were hanging out at our house, I was the parent who drove them to and from school to other kids houses etc, it’s knowing who what and where . But it’s a hard job staying on top of school, sports and knowing that if it was back to school night I was going to 18 class rooms to talk to teachers, my husband and I were blessed to have 8 high school graduates from high school and college, but they’re great times as well. Once again I just wanted to finally leave you a comment as I said I enjoy watching your videos and cleaning with you learning new cleaning tips and tricks, and especially watching your children grow up and how they like helping you, ❤❤

Hi Jamie, In one of your videos, I remember u mentioning sometimes your pantry can be overwhelming and u might have different snacks in there that u don’t purchase all the time. I would suggest getting a bin and putting those random miscellaneous snack items in the bin so they all stay contained in one bin. I know that might seem a little messy to just have a bin full of snacks but that’s a good way to keep your random snack items somewhat organized.

Lightly sand your table going in the direction of the grain. Buy a matte polyurethane and use a sponge brush to apply. Apply three coats. Read the directions as it will tell you how often to apply the coats. Just make sure when you’re using the foam brush to not push hard because that could cause bubbles on your surface. Good Parenting is the hardest job that you will ever have!! It is 24/7xforever there are no holidays no training and every child is unique so what works for one child will not work for another. Just when you think you have it figured out the child (psychologist extraordinaire) will change- they are magical chameleons. Everyone who never had a child is an expert- because they have never been so sleep deprived they don’t remember eating with a sick child who has you worried sick. Each age has it’s own unique set of challenges which makes your own learning curve exponential. My oldest girl just turned 38 and boomeranged home. My second girl is married and 35. She has her own home. They will both tell anyone who listens I was and am a dreadful mother. My close friends say I did an amazing job and they are ungrateful brats. You can’t win. Having said all this- it is also the most important job you will ever do and the rewards when they come are the biggest highlights of your life. I absolutely love both my girls. They are good citizens of their communities. I did the best job that I could under adverse conditions.

Happy Sunday! I definitely needed some motivation today! The sun is shining but it’s cold outside. We have had a lot of rain and clouds this past week. I think you should call a cabinet or woodworking company about the table. Maybe there is something you could brush or wipe on it. Have a wonderful week!

Have you tried orange glow wood polish on your stainless appliances? I seen it on tiktok and i loved how clean and shiny it made it and was so much easier to buff out streaks compared to stainless cleansers. And it doesn't make it greasy.

Also, about your table. Chalk paint makes a spray can of a clear matte top coat. Maybe something like that would put a finish on top and make it easier to clean without giving it a glossy look.

Be careful using baby oil on your stainless. Over time is can cause your stainless to brown and mess up the finish. Just wanted to let you know so you don't do anything to your beautiful home!

Hey Jamie, I think when its time to replace my appliances, I will probably pick ones that hide fingerprints better. Anytime I see a print or a dent, that seems to be all that I focus on. Lol Temu has gotten me in trouble. The prices can't be beat. After owning homes with white cabinets and dark cabinets, my next house will definitely have white/light cabinets. The amount of dust/dirt that can be seen on dark cabinets is crazy. Not that I want to clean less but I swear I used to stop what I was doing just to clean a spit of them. Parenting is hard. You are dealing with kids with different personalities, needs and wants. I could use the same discipline or parenting style with all my kids. I couldn't even use all my mother's parenting skills with my kids. I told my kids that this is my first time having this many kids and that even though I was their parent, that I still make mistakes and to forgive me for any shortcomings that I will have but to know my intentions are for them are good and I'm doing my best.

I am not sure if this will be helpful to you (or someone else) or not, but it is something that I personally have found helpful. I do not put my spices into a drawer like you do ~~ random fandom fact ... my husband and I live in an 892 square foot apartment and whoever designed the space when the building was being built. decided it was smart to only put one drawer in the entire apartment. Anyway, we have an upper corner cabinet with a double lazy susan type situation behind the door. I have all of our spices on the lower shelf and I put them all in there alphabetically. Doing this not only allows me to easily and quickly find exactly what I am looking for, but it also allows me to see what I have so I am not buying spices that I already have and just didn't realize it. This helps eliminate wasteful spending by having them expire and thereby throwing them away. And then on the upper shelf area of the lazy susan I put things like my non-stick cooking spray, ice cream toppings, pancake and French toast syrup, and I have a container that holds all of my seasoning packets for chili and tacos, etc. I will also state that all of the spices on the lower portion of the lazy susan all are set around the front outer edge and I don't have anything sitting behind anything else ~~ well, unless I am low on a specific spice and I buy a replacement container of it. At that point I will put the new jar behind the already opened jar so that I also know that I don't need to buy another one. So for instance, I use chili powder quite regularly for chili (obviously) but also as a seasoning on top of a hamburger patty. So I have my open jar in the front and then I have my refill container directly behind what I am currently using. Spices are ridiculously expensive so I just find this system works extremely well and I know what I have so I am not over buying and I am not needing to throw expired spices away because I am buying things that I didn't need.

Matte Triple Thick Polyurethane by Varathane. Use a sponge roller. Matt finish won't make the table shine. One coat will do.

Maybe a yacht varnish for the table. It’s very durable but check the tin first.
