Awesome video as always Andrew. Digging the new wheels mate, probably got it at the right time with the way things are at the moment, things going up overnight. Fuel prices are nearly £2 a gallon in the uk and still rising. It will be interesting to know what you get for your scrap, it’s on the way up over here. Thanks Andrew for sharing.

The worlds definitely an interesting place at the moment isn’t it 🤯 our fuel prices have increased steeply too unfortunately. I’m looking forward to dropping it off and see what it goes for 😅

@nathanfee80572 жыл бұрын
Hey mate. First off love the videos!! I have had a few bikes so thought Id clear up the questions you had on the bike...Looks like its been made to be able to be road registered. The indicators being on there with the headlight staying on and the absence of the kill switch are all required for a WOF/"safety" features. Guessing that is so you can legally travel from paddock to paddock if you need to ride on public roads. If your not going to road register the bike all the indicators and that would bolt off relatively easily and you could wire in a switch for the headlight if you don't like it being on all the time. The lock on the side is a helmet lock. Just so when you ride into town or something you just lock your helmet to the bike so you don't have to carry it around with you. Which leads me to think the little box next to it could be for gloves??
@nathanfee80572 жыл бұрын
You could also get eyelets stitched into the cover along that edge so you are able to tie it down
@TheOnceADayFarmer2 жыл бұрын
That all makes sense thanks 🙏 The eye let idea is actually a pretty good idea too 👌👍

@TheOnceADayFarmer2 жыл бұрын
Ahh that makes sense, no not registered
@glenrigby85672 жыл бұрын
Those bikes can be used on the road, hence the indicators, and I think newer bikes lights have to be on all the time

One the side of the bike, thats the helmet lock. Put the pin through the D rings. Cant you just duct tape that edge for now?

All motorbike headlights are hard wired on now days you cant turn off any of them on any bike, the lock is for a helmet, dont normally get them these days
@TheOnceADayFarmer2 жыл бұрын
Might look at getting a switch out on it 🤷
@DaveZee016 ай бұрын
I was just wondering why you wouldn't want the headlight to be on, i.e. it only comes on after the engine starts up. I'd have thought it's more for being seen than to see where you're riding during the day. Also, if you venture onto a public road (here in the RSA) you'd get a stiff fine if you forgot to switch it on during the day (besides at night, of course) Also, I'd ask the Honda salesman (who sold you the bikes) if there wasn't supposed to be a basic toolkit in that little empty storage box?

Just had a look at those feed prices for northland from agrifeeds Pke $503, DDG $800, Soy hulls $660, and so on.. how do they justify these price hikes? How does the war effect it? Isn't Pke from Indonesia and DDG from Australia ? I say BS
@TheOnceADayFarmer2 жыл бұрын
Someone was telling me that because Ukraine and Russia are massive crop growers/exporters (sunflowers) with this war going on there’s going to be less sunflower oil around and the demand for palm oil has grown already..and also with grain prices rising in the northern hemisphere they are looking to import PK, which is pushing our prices up. Don’t know how true it is but kinda makes sense 😳🤷

60 percent of the worlds Sunflowers are produced in Russia and Ukraine. The resulting 11 million tonne of Sunflower Oil exports from that region account for 40% of all Oilseed oils exported (soybeans, canola, cottonseed etc) Those exports have stopped and the pending planting season is obviously in real jeopardy. Everyone that used Sunflower oil is switching to Soybean oil and in turn that is massively supporting the price of Palm Oil. The price of Palm Oil supports the price of PKE. The Russian spring crops will get planted but the cost of diesel, fertilizer and insecticides etc. likely impact area and yields. As for Ukraine hopefully everyone comes to their senses and a resolution means spring crops are planted. Otherwise PKE will be supported for some time
