Really like the zippy way of how this information is communicated, very efficient and easy to listen to. Also appreciated how encouraging it was. I have just been given a 70% ten year survival rate, with surgery alone, increasing to 82% if I go for chemo, which I wont be doing, and also a strange suggestion of bisphosphonate, considering I wont be using anti hormone drugs. I believe my long use of HRT contributed to my tumour, that is the synthetic form of the progesterone. I am also frustrated my oncologist didn't inform me of the incredible benefits to my survival rates if I take vitamin D3, which I feel is a complete negligent piece of information that should be automatically included and encouraged.

I am 66 and my breast cancer was lobular and went to lymph nodes. I find it hard to not be anxious that the cancer is returning as seem to have so many side effects from letrozole etc. Maintains a healthy weight is hard when joint pain limits some of my exercise. Thank you so much for all your encouragement. Praying that you will stay well.

Hi Liz Thank you so much. This is fabulous information. I found the link through ICPV. Have you considered asking Maggie’s to promote your videos? Your info is invaluable. I’m especially interested in raising awareness of secondary breast cancer. Can I help you? I’m a centre ambassador for Maggie’s at Sutton Riyal Marsden. Again many thanks Jo Saunders-Betts x

Unfortunately people who get stage four the average they live is not going down, not from what I've read, and even observed in my support groups. And I am not feeling too well. There are so many hopes for a cure in the nearer than ever future, and I hope for cure, and am so sick of bandaids. My letrozole feels like death, and my health feels like death, and I am a positive person, but even after NED, and yet raised tumor markers, and you pray, meditate, and ask.. why I feel so bad still.. t.y. for your vids and your bubbly personaly, smarts, and heart..

But the rates of women getting breast cancer has increased that means the prevention efforts have been unsuccessful .and just getting the diagnosis and alopecia are emotionally devastating

We can't prevent breast cancer. There is nothing that can stop you getting it - we can only reduce the chance that it happens. And yes the side effects of treatment can be awful

Dear Dr Liz, what about those stage 4 er positive breast cancer womans? Dr Liz, er positive womans diagnosed early unfortunately 30% comes back later as a metastatic thats the one kills, er positive they need to found more curative medicine like her2 positive patients, her2 positive stage 4 lots of womans they think they cured the disease, er positive so behind, I hope they can do more soon, and I appreciate your reserch thank you soo much❤.

The paper only looked at the risk of recurrence in the first 5 years after diagnosis but as we know ER+ cancer can come back 30 years later. I’m hopeful that the new drugs like CDK inhibitors will help to stop this happening

@@DrLizORiordan what is CDK please.. there are also promising things on the horizon, from what I have studied, b.c. cure-ish, would turn this horrible disease into chronic rather than fatal at least. . there is much promise this could happen by 2030 to 2035.. it cannot happen soon enough as far as I am concerned, I am so sick of feeling awful.. no one else I know supposedly in remission feels this way, nor has elevated tumor markers supposedly only cause NAFLD, which I had another doc tell me today, my local physican that , that was more than likely caused by my letrozole, ugh.. since I dont eat poorly too often.. :(
