New hope for small-scale fisheries in the Philippines

The Philippines is the world’s second largest archipelagic state and one of the largest fish producing nations in the world. Like many other fishing nations, however, the Philippines is facing an overfishing crisis. Of the country’s 13 major fishing grounds, 10 are overfished. I hope they'll update us about the current status of Ayoke TURF area after 5 years. Im very happy to see this kind of initiatives in the effort of conserving wild fish stocks and help fisherfolks along the way. I hope TURF areas will expand 🙏🏻

Sana dito rin sa amin sa Southern leyte na mayroon totolong na NGO para naman ma control itong illegal fishing,gawa nang taga ibang lugar..
