PRO GAMER TIP: when samosbir comes (red poison/fog), you can actually lock yourself in a vault door. As long as it's the inside you won't take damage from samosbir. I belive the inside is the flat side, the curved side is the outside. You can usually tell this by using the initial area your elevator arrives on (any floor) as long as it has a door.

To clear things out, this game is based on universe from russuian forums called "Samosbor". Basicaly, in that universe there's one giant megastructure (it is called "Gigahrushevka" or "Gigahrush' " for short) and many strange things are happening there. Samosbor is also the phenomena that randomly occurs in said megastructure and manifests as purple fog with stench of raw meat. If someine is caught in it, they will either disappear, or mutate beyond recognition and lose their mind. Also, people live there as Soviet Union never ended. To be fair, in the universe of Samosbor way more things than i could ever explain, so yeah, try digging yourself if you interested, but there could be very few articles written in english about it.

@aerinsoleris not really, it's more of it's own thing. There's nowhere else you could go, except megastructure, but because it's infinite you could encounter almost anything (canonwise). In one story, main character falls in elevator shaft. There were other people too, but they wouldn't reach bottom because shaft was infinite. After some time, main character maries one of the women that were therem, and they had a baby, alongside some others. Children were told that theg are born in Gigahrush', but children hardly believed them. And so, the new generation of these people lived believeing that the shaft is all that there is.

I've never seen so much disrespect for the scanner. It's by far the most useful to upgrade and it didn't get a single one. Upgrading the scanner doesn't just improve the active scan, that highlights items but it also gives detailed information about the floor. It shows how many items are on each floor. This doesn't just show you when you're done but can also be used to gauge if a floor is worth it. Dangerous floors don't always have good loot on them, so if you know there's nothing worthwhile you can just skip them.
