There is the tv show "From", that's a mystery thriller with supernatural elements, kinda like "Lost", it's from the same creators and even starts some of the actors from "Lost". I don't wanna spoil to much, and it isn't confirmed as of yet, but there is the theory, that the main entity controlling supernatural in the show and keeping all the characters in one place (The Town) is giant spider or spiders, residing in forest surrounding town... At least, it's what some of the clues at the end of fist season inquire...

I saw it last night and thought it a decent 7/10 for what it was. No idea why my Village screened it in the VJunior section; the colorful seats and play slide clashed with the movie's tone. It had a lot of similarities to other movies but told a fairly cohesive story. I liked the nasty kills and the creature effects. The only flaws for me were rushed pacing in the second act and some character chiches. But if you want an amusing creature feature, it delivers.

I think it does the psychological horror aspect decently well from the step-father's point of view, the way he keeps trying to do the right thing but everything backfires on him, how his wife's family is there at the perfect moment to kick him while he's down and make him doubt his place in their lives. It's not what I was hoping for in a giant spider movie, but it is there.

I wanted to like Sting but a lot of it seemed very predictable. Plus, not sure if this was just me, but there's a part where one of the "low hanging fruit" is killed and as Charlotte comes across it, the kill is all blurry so you can barely tell what it is. Like the first one to get killed was obvious and clear, but this was blurry - maybe they were running out of money or it looked bad, so they blurred it out instead? Just my thoughts.

This was just boring to be honest.. Some really idiotic things made me check out early. Like.. The way she finds the spider within the first 2 minutes of the movies. The stupid whistle thing, that she decided is it’s call for food. And apparently the spider just screws off the lid of the bottle, to get out, and then screws the lid back on again afterwards. It’s just so dumb, and it feels like things were just thrown in there. And once the spider gets to er certain size it starts to look really bad, and you barely see the spider, because it looks so bad. The key thing about spider movies is, that you HAVE to see the spiders, because they are so creepy just to look at.. Hiding the spider, turn it into just any generic monster that you don’t see, and leave to the imagination. But it’s a spider movie, and spider movies only work if we actually see the spider The movie infested was So much better, and everything made more sense in that movie.

To be fair it’s better than I thought it would be. That being said I went in with pretty low expectations. It’s fun, stupid, leave your brain at the door entertainment. Ok it’s not Silence Of The Lambs standard and it has its issues. Such as the ridiculous Marlon Wayans wannabe exterminator character. Overall though I’d recommend it with the caveat that it’s pure nonsense entertainment. If you want to have a couple of beers and have something to watch it’s fine. Watch it, then forget about it because there’s no real substance to it.

Don’t watch this if you value your time. Your welcome! Movie is about girls with daddy issues and girl boss feminists which describes men as being weak and useless, and a recalcitrant kid who makes you click at every moment. The spider is the actual friendly intelligent human being with a sense of purpose, dedication and satisfaction and the humans are the critter that are better off dead than being alive. The creators who make these films made them because they despise their own human nature, either to push a message, make a horror movie but make sure you push that message, or they’re just stupid, and they think we’re also very stupid and we can’t tell right from wrong. It’s basically a caravan of garbage low budget B movie. Vermins/infested was 💯 better, even if there too is some sense of laziness throughout the whole movie. Like you do wish for the spiders to finally die! Compared to this film where you wish for the spider to live, and kill as many humans as possible, because that’s how the writers and director portrayed the humans as very annoying recalcitrant arrogant and weak. It’s a good looking vfx parody of a movie. Vermin/infested was better in every way possible!
