You should enclose the back and sides of the island, with shiplap may.... even add cabinet doors to the other side, then you can store more things in it without being worried about it looking cluttered. :)

Dishwasher tip!! I had the same problem with my dishes being wet when the dishwasher was done. A friend gave me a great tip... when your dishwasher finishes open it up and hang a towel over the door. Close the door and leave it until it's completely cool. The towel socks up all the remaining steam leaving your dishes dry!

Pantry tip. Try to keep your potatoes and onions somewhat apart from each other. The gases released by both will make the other spoil way faster then it should :)

If you rotate your sofa towards the large wall and with the L shape towards the window, bring your TV cabinet and angle in the corner where your tree is your router could stay on the floor hidden or behind your tv. The wall where your tv stand is currently a console table would look very nice with a matching lamp set and home decor . I would try a 9x12 area rug where your coffee table will be. I would build a waincotting wall with big black hooks from Hobby Lobby for coats or jackets on the wall you will see when you enter your front door in your classroom where your kitchen island used to be. Its gorgeous and inexpensive and it would look classy and organized. Just a few thoughts. Love how your making it so cozy.

Hi Kelly! Looking good. Just a tip; I make tea in the microwave. Stick the tea bags in a microwave safe bowl with enough water for half of the bowl, boil five minutes and let stand for three to five more and then mix it in the tea pitcher with your sugar, etc. might save you a little time 🤗🦋🦋🦋

You should get your fridge water line hooked up so you can drink filtered water. There is a filter built into the fridge. It would taste so much better than sink water for making your tea.

You could put two of those cabinets together. Just leave the doors off of one and then just leave the backing g from the other, and then just put one in front of the other. You will have one deep cabinet.

You have done an amazing job redoing your home and you also have good tase in decorating. Love all you have done. When I got my cabinet to use for pantry, I got some containers(mostly from Dollar Tree) to put things in like my boxes of macaroni pastas, beans, etc. Gets it all out of the boxes, can see how much you have, and I think keeps fresher cause sometimes the boxes don't/stay closed. Also got a small basket to put things like packets of gravy mixes, taco seasonings, salad dressing mix,etc. I thought these things help make it a little more organized and helped to know when/what needed to be replenished. Forgot, i got one of those 3 tiered shelf things to put canned goods in. All just ideas/suggestions and you may have already thought about them. 🦋

I bought some for my nephew that lives in New York this year for Christmas and they had a lot of cute options to choose from. I know where I will be buying most of my kids clothes when I have them. I didn’t really understand what size youth is in regular sizes, could you tell me a little more about the youth sizes? ❤ I love your hair it’s so cute, thank you for showing us how to do it. ❤ I think your mom giving you the Christmas money ahead of time for Black Friday in case you want to shop the sales is such a great idea. We all want to shop those Black Friday sales but might not have the money for it so that’s really great that you had extra spending money to buy yourself a new crockpot. ❤ I love Aldi and Aldi’s finds. I have so many amazing things in that aisle, I have picked up a couple Christmas presents for people on my Christmas list this year. ❤🦋🦋
