It's okay to put a little bit of money into your rental I see a lot of foreigners do that. I've actually seen it much worse where the homes are really run down and the foreigners go in and fix them up really nice because they plan to stay there a while. In America the rentals are usually fixed up and in really good condition and if something breaks the landlord has to take care of it. In the Philippines it's a bit different. At least in the Philippines things are affordable and you can pick what you want to add to the place.

The view from your house in Bacong is really nice and nice you settled in fixing up small projects so Celina can make you some good Fish dinner. One of my favorite stores is Unitop with all their handi little stuff and they also got great price on maple syrup along with some food stuff. i would love to know where the market with veggies are near the school as you should say the names of businesses as it would be a benefit to them. P.S. try some chalk or more spray to keep the ants out.
