If you like that area for hosting, you should switch the TV area and the sofa then if your guests are on the sofa while you're cooking they could see you and talk to you and you don't have that little bit of wall blocking you.

Just a little layout suggestion for when you get new furniture, in the 'back kitchen lounge' you should put your TV and entertainment unit on the wall where the couch currently is, and on the wall where the TV is currently you would be able to put a couch with a return/chaise on it so you can sit a lot more people and will improve the overall flow into the dining :) The house is looking awesome!

Sean, you could really easily diy a custom cushion for your reading nook if you, or your mom or poppy mom sews!! All you need is a 2-3in piece of foam cut for the space, some quilting batting to cover it and a great piece of fabric, all of which can be bought at your local fabic or craft store! Love the house, everything will feel so much more complete after you hang things on the wall! What is your plan for the space between your wardrobes? A big piece of art or mirror would be great!

As a Canadian, I lover your house!! Here in Toronto, there's been a trend where the whole first floor is "open concept." So that first lounge room you have would be open to the other tv room (with the wall taken out). But I love that you kept the wall, and have it separated. I was thinking you can have it as another "extra" guest bedroom if you get a really good sofa bed. The room is so beautiful, I bet people would love to stay in there too. The lounge is so cosy for winter time a rug and a bigger tv above fire place. The readingadorable reading nook would look great for adding shelves and made into library and bottom more storage and the seating few steps away so adorable, ❤️❤️ the shower, don't change. Yes to that

Try cotton string in the gaps in your floorboards you can then stain it.😊 helps with draughts too.
