There is a diffrence between low income and affordable. Paying $1500 to $2000 month for a one bedroom is not affordable for an Individual renter nor is $800 to $1000 a month for senior citizens on ssi. Think about the majority incomes to asking rental prices In the area That is why so many people are homeless in Sacramento and bay area. I see alot of rentals available there just unaffordable and what about the people on government assistance. This development plan just leaves them on the streets

They did the same thing decades ago in my hometown San Francisco! Coincidentally guess who was Mayor! Gaven Newsom! Gentrification will push out all of the Sacramento Natives! Where will they end up? OREGON!!!

@geedee94134 Yeah, the developers have been sending their lobbyist to Sacramento to get laws passed that are absolutely ruining cities throughout california. These developers are creating ghettos everywhere, not providing enough infrastructure & skipping into the next town. Californians need to fight Against all of the bills that the governor has passed regarding housing since 2017. YIMBYD (Yes, in my backyard) don’t seem to understand that they are just pants for rich developers. These developers are happy to let the YIMBYS do free marketing for them & then the developers will run off with the money. It’s common knowledge that high density is bad for mental health, especially for kids. The developers are laughing at all of the YIMBYS.

Great. Now lets see if they're actually afforadable. And I don't mean THEY say they have affordable units, but actually have units that the working population in Sacramento can afford on one persons wages.

I’m in Fresno and, although we’re seeing a lot of infill and housing built as well, none of it is as tall or as dense as we need. Both cities need more 10-20 story+ buildings

Hopefully they don't have HOAs attached to them. I refuse to consider buying any house within an HOA. IMO, it's a kind of added tax.
