War is not fought by Officers only but by brave and trained soldiers also. Ultimately, All officer will be in Frontline at the time of sudden war broke out because newly recruited agniveer soldiers didn't have the experiences to face itself from the high altitude terrific terrains and severe -30 degree temperature of northern himalayas regions.They should be deployed minimum 8 years,so that they become friendly of that topography and climate. The newly recruited agniveer soldiers will get training of use of live arms and ammunition for atleast 2 years which approximately cost above 50000 crores and after 2 years they will be returned home which is a wastages of tax payers money without any concrete outcomes.

Your data is incorrect, i believe there are some pros and cons to agniveer scheme. Agniveer scheme will ensure that army gets young recruits and the training period is only six months which is that agniveers get in the line of duty for 3½ years after that they'll be a given a seva nidhi of an amount approximately around 11 lakhs. There was around 1 lakh shortage of personals in the indian armed forces. The agniveers will only fill non commission ranks in the armed forces. It is not that we will have a shortage of experienced trained soldiers, the normal recruitment of army from around the country is not stopped i believe having a mixed ratio of long term experienced as well as short term experienced soldiers will not affect the armed forces. To talk of officers are required for their leadership and exceptional qualities we have Major, colonel, lieutenant do work alongside with the other personals respective of their post

A lot of examination for Defance Force Personnel, what about IAS, IPS , IFS, etc . + state and state government employees who takes the examination, is there any accountability?
