I like languages as languages can also sometimes be considered as an art. Mainland China is a growing power especially in the Asian region; its economic potential is influential in the region as well these days. It may be good to learn some Chinese when and if going to do business with the mainland Chinese. For HSK 3.0 Level 7 ~ 9, the suggested Chinese characters (can also known as Hanja/Hancha in Korean or Kanji in Japanese) to be learned is up to 3000 characters. By comparison, for JLPT N1, the suggested Kanji to be learned is up to 2000 characters. Though the suggested Kanji is just up to 2000 characters for N1, the actual commonly used Kanji is in fact up to 3500 characters (including the Kanji being used for persons' name) in the everyday life of the Japanese people in Japan. For the education in Taiwan my country, students will need to learn at least 4500 Chinese characters before graduating from junior high school and entering senior high school. If Taiwanese students wish to enter university in Taiwan, around 5900 Chinese characters will need to be learned. I am not sure about the status in mainland China, but it's supposed that averagely the mainland Chinese students will likely learn more Chinese characters than the Taiwanese students do. But it doesn't mean the more Chinese characters one learns the better; for international communication and usage, 3000 Chinese characters would be fairly enough. Just only if you are personally actually living in mainland China or Taiwan, more Chinese characters will be required as these two, mainland China and Taiwan, are both Chinese-speaking countries. (P.S. or one country in the viewpoint of the Mainlanders in case the disagreement if they see this)

Many Malay people in Malaysia had started learning Mandarin. In fact, one of the daily national news channels in Mandarin at 7 p.m. has been read by a Malay woman. And btw, not only Mainlanders, majority of overseas Chinese also considered China and Taiwan as one country, similar to HK. 😂

@@maxdc988 I heard nearly one quarter of the population in Malaysia is of Chinese descendent; they would attend Chinese schools in Malaysia for study. After their graduating from high school, some of them would come to Taiwan to pursue a bachelor’s degree at one of the universities within Taiwan island as there is no language barrier between the students from Malaysia Chinese schools and those of Taiwanese universities.

Sorry but not just mainlanders think that Taiwan isn’t a country. No intellectual or diplomat in the world will dare to say it is. Because that doesn’t exist beyond your dreams. If you’re Taiwanese your passport says China. Nobody on earth has any diplomatic relations with Taiwan. You may have been re-educated by the heavily American influenced Taiwanese curriculum in the 90s that essentially doesn’t teach you Chinese history. More than +180 countries in the world recognise The People’s Republic of China as the only China and Taiwan as a part of China as a requisite for diplomatic relations. You can’t even make the argument that Taiwan is a self-governing island because the truth of the matter is that the USA makes the calls and we all know it. You can of course put a piece of masking tape on your passport and write Taiwan on it as a form of protest but your demonym anywhere you go is still the same: Chinese. I think it’s so pathetic that you’ve been raised to believe that eradicating your Chinese culture and hating being Chinese is the only way of being Taiwanese and it’s become your identity as if without a complete denial of China in favor of embracing US and western culture is what being Taiwanese is all about. I hope someday you can achieve your goals of an independent country but that is up to the rest of China to decide and not just you. Taiwan being a part of China is just as part of your constitution as it is a part of the PRC’s constitution. So you better run for president, send an email to the US ambassador like Tsai did. I guess that’s how she got elected with their support. Show them how you’re different girl. I’ll be rooting for you 😊

Finalmente, trabajemos duro juntos.

@@ukiyomi Hola Airi, 不客气,若您将来还有关于中文的问题,请尽管提问。您目前的汉语基础还挺好的,写和阅读都相当不错,您可以考虑继续发展下去,未来新汉语水平考试高等九级非您莫属,而我也可能会去考个 DELE,再联系啦。Dado que está aprendiendo chino, también es bueno escuchar canciones chinas. If you see the video again after time period 6:01 in the content, Mylangs has indicated: "The exam format or the evaluation did not change when it comes to the original six grades from Level 1 to 6. Only the upper grades of level 7~9 are newly added to them. So the study strategies should be the same." Therefore, if one is going to take HSK 3.0 Level 4 test, the preparation strategy will still be the same as taking HSK 2.0 Level 4 test because both tests remain only having the three sections of listening, reading and writing, and the difficulty between HSK 3.0 Lv4 and HSK 2.0 Lv4 is identical. Only when taking HSK 3.0 Lv7 or higher will the additional sections of Speaking and Translation be required.
